Hi all. Marky a HUGE thank you for your subway guide. We got back yesterday after 10 glorious days. They had a heatwave for our entire stay-beautiful weather. The thunderstorms on a couple of days were scary though:eek:I was dreading using the subway but followed the guide to a tee and we where fine.

Phatbear, my 16 year old son was a complete pain up the you know what half the time, so i feel your pain, lol. You were so right about the bape store.I don't get why it takes people so long to choose anything.DS was in his element in the awful place, lol.

I really loved NY this time round. We did hershey world which was lovely and hershey is a quaint little place.Everyone seemed to love our accents as they don't tend to get british tourists there.

I cannot wait to to go back now. Thanks to everyone on this thread for tips ect.

Wow just googled the Hearshey which looks like an amazing theme part but abit further away from NY, have been looking for something similar abit closer so we could spend the morning and afternoon there but best i can find in a tatty rollercoaster in Coney Island!

How long does it take from Manhatten to Heashey and how do you get there???

    thanks

    Lol Marky-Century21:D
Cash back-We took the greyhound to harrisburg-4 hours then a local bus-322 to the hershey lodge. The lodge will collect you from the station for 20.00 per adult. It was like being in Orlando-a world away from NYC.
The amtrak also goes there-approx 3 hours. It really was worth going IMHO.

    Hi Everyone,
I am off to NY in 10 weeks for the first time :j, we are there for 3 nights but will only have 2 full days.We are staying on 343 w 44 th st, I am considering purchasing a 48 hr New york pass bus package(grayline hop on hop off), which costs $149.00.

This is what we hope to fit in the 2 days:

    Empire state building
    Top of the rock
    Statue of liberty
    Shopping
    Tour of Manhattan at night

Do you think it will be worth us doing the new York pass bus package.I have done a lot of research but cant make my mind up ?

Any advice will be very appreciated. Many Thanks.

remember you can only bring back £340 worth of "other goods and gifts" though... wouldn't want you to get caught at Customs..

£340 each. And if you're over the limit, you'll be paying duty on the lot.

Although you should note that markymoo's reminder was in jest, phatbear is only too well aware of the limits.:rotfl:

Given that he was an immigration officer I would have told him to mind his biz.

Thanks for the reminder though Mr Moo, that could explain why all those people keep getting the hump with me when I seize their goods because they have gone over £145 each.
