Yeh seems to be apart from BA

Not gonna book them too early anyway, think i'll try the famous 3 month rule ? ;)

Dialaflight have best price economy fares valid for departure between 16/5/10 & 30/6/10 for £337 return from Glasgow incl all taxes etc.
Need to phone them for more info but i think i'll investigate this :o

Read something about a BA sale in September ? Think they'll have NY fares for June/July 2010 in this ? Or is that pushing my luck a wee bitty ?

It's debatable what fares will be in the sale until it happens. I personally won't travel BA, as you HAVE to go to London regardless, and I want to fly direct from Manchester. So, I have a choice of CO or DL for my flights. I normally end up with DL, which means I never really look at the BA prices or sales, and end up comparing the prices from the respective airlines websites. It is rare that I've seen a price on their websites cheaper on someone like expedia or dialaflight..

I fly BA - normally NY is in the sale but obviously you cant be totally sure. As Marky says its heathrow for cheap fares with BA (which is handy for me but for most people isnt that great!)

yeah, you live in that there london, so heathrow is the most logical for you, and you get to benefit from the best fares around.

Manchester is all I get direct, Leeds Bradford if i don't mind changing at AMS, but I think flying the East to ultimately end up West is pointless...

    Hi Griggsy

the discount is online only and runs out tomorrow. Its a summer promotion and has already been extended twice. That said, summer doesn't officially end until the end of august.

I have had a look through the book, but cant see anything I do, however, have a phone number if that would help It's 877 714 1999. I can't see why you wouldn't be able to purchase it in advance and then collect later. Also the other thing to remember is that they may do some offers for the different holidays - I think ours was for Mothers day or Memorial day or something along those lines. In the end we bought ours with Expedia as we were getting our flights etc from there and it worked out about the same (plus we got quidco) but we didn't have to pay any charges for using our card abroad. Good luck with it and I hope you get your answers soon.

do not plan everything.... i'm a huge fan of walking around aimlessly..... bleeker st, union sq... all great places just to wander.....

things to remember, in the bar, if you sit by the bar, stick to the same bartender, and tip each round, regardless if you're paying per round or on a tab. this shows that you like their service, and they are more likely to give you a buyback (aka freeeeee drink!).....

    have a great holiday

(beer inhibits me from saying any more right now)
  • I agree, thats how you find some of the best places when your not looking.
Did I hear right.......... FREE DRINK :D
That's noted for my trip ;)

Have a great time in NY WaxiesDargle, look forward to hearing your report once you return!
