I cannot recommend the Radio City Apartments enough for the IDEAL base for a city break stay. It is steps away from Times square, really clean and a good size. you get a kitchenette and it's much cheaper than getting the equivalent standard in a hotel.
Book direct through their website, they are fab and I will defo stay there again.Vanquis- Limit £1250, balance £0
Capital One Classic- Limit £800, balance £0
Natwest Current Account- £800 OD limit, approx £600 OD
Loan- £3300, will be paid off by Dec 09
Student Loan- paid off Dec 09 (That's £150 a month extra! Woohoo)
Empire Catalogue Account- £750 limit, balance £300 -
Never seen when Harry met sally - maybe I should watch it.
Maybe will give that a miss. Probably just seen when there - even if the OH could just get a picture, that might do her lol0 -

you've never had a continental breakfast in new york.... hmm... trust me.. it's not worth it.. .there will be a deli around the corner where you can get a fresh bagel w/ cream cheese, and coffee for $2, so you really don't need a breakfast included..

I agree, New York Deli's offer a great breakfast choice, as healthy or un-healthy as you want.
The Michelangelo Hotel, offers a sweet pastry complimentary breakfast.
The Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers does a free breakfast and h'or derves if you are in the Club rooms (or did a few years ago)
Try the $20 Sandwich trick for free room upgrades

As I am an early riser I tend to go walkabout while hubby is still asleep and come back with coffee, muesli or fruit and something hot from the deli.
The choice is great, the price cheap and it's safe to walk out to get breakfast.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
Hi all!!!
I have been reading this thread all last night and all this morning.
Hoping to become a regular contributer here, everyone seems very nice and friendly , and funny too! And I love it!
Just returned from NYC there and had an amazing time. I have been quite a few times. I'm now planning a romantic valentines trip for the OH - it would also be our first anniversary of being engaged.
Looking at finding a lovely romantic restaurant for Valentines day itself. Checked out The View restaurant, and apart from the view itself, the reviews aren't too impressive.
I'm not sure what to do - whether it be a nice restaurant with a view, somewhere fancy (famous or whatever) or possibly a dinner cruise! I'm undecided, so you lot seem like the type that would know! Any ideas?! I've checked out a few threads and forums on eating out in NYC, but it would be nice to get a personal response, a chance to get to know people on here.
Thanks for reading (if you did that is)
I really like the Boat House in Central Park.
How about dinner at the Boat House (really nice, not, cheap but not over expensive), and The Campbell Apartments, Grand Central Station for Cocktails (can be pricy, but nice).Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
Oo I like that idea of Grand Central Station for a few cocktails.
The OH quite likes the 1920-30's New York type style. You know the type you see in the movies from back in those days.0
