If they dont you have any other sites to check out for flights.
thanks

Jet2 only did the vacation packages / flights around christmas from Leeds Bradford airport. Your options from LBA, is to go KLM to Amsterdamn and then AMS to Newark (EWR).
Flyglobespan don't fly to EWR any more, and it's probably because of the ETOPS Licence that they don't have, so the route is really unfeasible, however, they still fly to canada.
Your best best it to look at flights from Manchester, Delta and Continental fly direct, and BA, changing at London Heathrow.
£300 is a good target price for a direct flight from MAN, whereas you're probably looking nearer £350 from LBA..
your final option from Manchester is American Airlines, but you change at chicago, it's like your flying the too far, and double backing on your self, as is going to AMS first, as you're going the wrong direction, but they are options. AA from MAN, you could get flights as low as £250, but bear in mind you'll have totally lost your first day getting into NYC at around 6pm, rather than around 1pm if you fly direct or via London with BA (but they are overpriced IMO!)
https://www.kayak.co.uk to search for flights, and also, check the airlines own website for prices too.. delta.com / continental.com / britishairways.com
hope that helps

I thought times square was amazing at night for a look around once, but I dont see the point in going back really - I certainly would not want to stay there...UES is soooo much nicer for the rest of your holiday
In fact UES just rocked full stop0 -
Thanks MarkyMoo, thats great info, you are so thorough it really helps.

not a problem.. any other questions, just ask... though avoid me 1st thing in the morning, as i can be a little sarcastic at times....I thought times square was amazing at night for a look around once, but I dont see the point in going back really - I certainly would not want to stay there...UES is soooo much nicer for the rest of your holiday

Upper East Side. what planet are you on... Lower East Side is where all the action is!!!!!
and maybe, for a photo opportunity, times square is good.. but i've already said that.... i'm dreading having to be within 5 blocks of times square with my next hotel, but thankfully there is a subway around the corner that can whisk me down to Union Square for some normality...
pah!

P.S - actually, i can be a little sarcastic whatever time of day..0 -
Its alright Marky - I've been reading the thread long enough to know not to wind you up with silly q's before coffee time
Union Square is good - I'll grant you that! But you're not beating UES for style and sophistication anytime!0 -
haha... that just proves you've never met me, because then you'll know i have little sophistication.... style i do have, but sophistication.. c'mon.. i'm from Yorkshire!
i don't know why i always check this site in the morning before a coffee... i sometimes push the boundaries of even the worst sarcasm at that time of a morning..0 -
Am very very excited.
Have just booked my flights about an hour ago:j :j :j
Off on 18th Feb - 3 weeks tomorrow :T
Just got to find somewhere to stay now - but my head hurts already from all the different threads and websites & reviews I've been reading.
I've kerfuddled myself so think I need to book it tomorrowSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
Oh, and thanks for all the great posts full of interesting advice & info - been a great help so far
Although i'm very lucky - one of my best friends lives there so we'll have our own tour guide once we get there - as long as I take her some maltesers and PG tipsSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -

https://www.hotelconxions.com if you're considering booking the cosmopolitan hotel, it is the cheapest.
also, if you're searching around for hotels, double check the tripadvisor reviews and ratings before you book!!!

Yorkshire - do they let you into America, they have strict criteria you know:
Have you ever been arrested or convicted for an offense or crime involving moral turpitude?:p:p
I'm on my 5 coffee of the day and I'm still a grumpy moo - no chance for me then0
