yeah... very strict.. i think they let you slip through the net to be honest!!!

and i've never been arrested or anything, or had any points on my licence, or ever stopped by the police...

i've had 1 parking ticket, which wasn't my fault (customer, wouldn't let me leave, so i was late by 7 minutes back to my car), so i think i'm good for getting in the country!

It did take 30 minutes and 8 tries to get my fingerprints right on the machine though :eek::eek::eek: - my hands are too small so when I put them on the machine it couldn't read my little finger - oooopps - not sure how they do children to be honest

Ahh I see, well that makes sense - I do have 'childrens' sized hands (I wear size 4 boys football goalkeeper gloves)...

Im back and pining for New York ( If I squint a bit from my flat Leeds city center at night looks a bit like NY:rolleyes:

Well I'm pleased to say that I'm off to NY now.After trading in my virgin airmiles, flights for all 5 of us, in August came in at just under £1400.00 for 3 adults one child and 1 adult:j We are gonna do NY for 5 nights and washington possibly for 4. Due to the fact we need a swimming pool and space though, I'm toying slightly with staying just outside the city, as there isn't very much from what I can see in it, that meets that criteria.But I'm enjoying searching,lol.

Quackers, we took 3 teenagers to the Cosmo, and they gave us rooms opposite each other, which was fine. Only problem was two of them had to share a bed, but they got used to it ...

Have a fantabulous time!

PS and hotelconxions let me make a booking for 5 once I'd penetrated further into the system: the first screen gave the impression that I'd only be able to book for 4, so don't discount it because there are lots of you!

P.S long time people on this thread know my personal opinion is that i actually hate times square, because there is nothing of substance there worth visiting...

it's good for a photo op, but other than that, it's just a tourist trap..

it is a tourist trap, but it's that area that makes me feel I'm in new York. I have stayed in Chelsea before, and in various other areas. They are great, but for me it has to be Times Square everytime...
