Cosmo Daily News, which is directly downstairs serves coffee, but it isn't as good as the deli across the block on Reade Street.

HHHmmm fantastic danish pastries as well in the Morgan Market Deli....great breakfasts and so cheap even the police were all stopping and getting there food in there.
We tried the deli in the same street as Mudville 9 and nowhere near as friendly or as good quality.
    Cant wait to go back.

    Hi all,

I've just finished reading this thread from start to finish (you'll normally find me over on the Vegas thread), full of useful information for my trip in November. Just like to say thanks to all the regulars for their work on this thread, much appreciated. I'm sure i'll have plenty of questions in the coming months.

Now, how do I get from the airport to Times Square........... Just kidding:rotfl:

Do people think we should be worried about upcoming trips to NY? We are due to fly out to NY on Thursday. Usually I don't care about these kind of things (went to Thailand 2 days after tsunami and to Egypt 2 weeks after the bombings), but this time it is different as my wife is pregnant.

We were looking into rescheduling, but so far the Airline and the (prepaid) Hotel have both refused requests to be able to cancel or at least change the date.

Not sure what to do, tbh.

Exactly.. if the locals go there, it must be good... sure fire sign of knowing if a place is worth visiting... :)

Best deli in the area, cheaper than the "lemonade shop" and cosmo daily news for breakfasts, drinks, beers etc..

if the foreign office state that it is unsafe to travel to an area, then airlines may and insurance may help you recschedule your holiday... currently, it is perfectly safe to go to New York...

Mexico on the other hand is a no no.

    Hi All!

In NY now and boy is it hot :D, got up early this morning and headed out for recce on the west side and walked though the park to get to the apple store and toy shop and then headed back to th hotel now for a shower before nipping out in an hour or so to TOTR, times Sq, Grand Central and some dinner and bit later...

Forecast is for rain tomorrow so hopefully it will be cooler and we can do some more stuff in the mid day..

The EU are apparently advising against travel now but everything's very normal here - the schools are open and no one is wearing masks - its all good :D

    Happy planning all!

just checked the Foreign Office website, and it is stating nothing against travelling to the USA, - USA Travel Advice

Mexico is a no no, but NYC / USA seems fine right now

thankfully, we don't need to answer to the EU, as we're british, or is that being too patriotic these days?
