Now, I would disagree with that.
The shop is in sections, separated into men's and women's and then again by designer which is listed generally on the top of the stands.
but it takes ages to go through a rack of jeans/shirts etc, as they're in NO order, size order... i'm kinda OCD like that...0 -
Hi Ppl
I am traveling from the UK to NYC in September - I have a UK passport - New style machine readable- Do i need to fill out a VWP form ?
There seem to be websites charging for this so should I pay for this ?
Do I need to take any medical precausions before going there.
Thanks0 -
You need to fill in an ESTA form online.
Now, can someone please help me?? Where are all you New York experts...*toddles off to trip advisor New York City Forum*0 -
i'm only 23 minutes after romeospadre posted that thread... i need to do normal human things too ninestonecreature
romeo - if you read page one of this thread, it'll give you the proper link to the esta site.. but just because you obviously can't be bothered to do that... how about you google esta then ignore the sponsored links, and click the first link on the page entitled - welcome - with the details - Welcome to the Electronic System for Travel Authorization Web Site. International travelers who are seeking to travel to the United States under the Visa ...
that's the offical esta site, and it is free.
You fill that out with all your details, and it tells you if you can go on holiday or not. It's not 100% guaranteed, but it's basically a permit to travel...
once on the plane, you'll get a white form for customs, and a green VWP form. you will still need to fill out the green VWP form, and this is handed in at immigration with your passport. then they decide if you can actually have your holiday and if so, take your photo, digital fingerprints, and stamp your passport with the latest you can stay in USA.
medical precautions? - IMO, not really, just be sensible.. no jabs etc are needed..
Hope that helps, and maybe in future you'll read page one of this thread, that gives you a wealth of information!0 -

i occasionally post over on that board too, mainly to help out brits with questions that new yorkers won't know, as it has to do with things like estas etc, but most of the people are self gratifying, and it's the same questions about a itinerary after itinerary, and it gets dull..
at least here, it's all about planning a holiday, and getting a good price on it, which is far more fun...

I have been given the choice of any hotwire hotel of my choice due to the room I originally booked being cancelled because the hotel failed to open in time. I KNOW that two of the hotels for certain are the two above.
I'm travelling with another adult and a small child......what should I do, I know it all depends on what area you want to stay in, but to be honest, Im not too sure, been before, not toooo bothered about staying in that area with a 6 month old!!!
For example, we travelled with 3 teens last summer. Cosmo was fine for NYC but had no 'facilities' to speak of, so if you wanted a cup of coffee, you went out. Then we spent a night in a couple of Holiday Inn 'suites' in New Brunswick - fridge, coffee machine and the wherewithall to make drinks in each room. Then we moved onto a motel in Wildwood about which the less said the better, but there was a kitchen.
Now, with teenagers, we could go out and leave them to it if I needed a coffee just to get me out of bed. If I'd had a 6 month old, I wouldn't have wanted to have to send a runner out every time I wanted a cup of coffee.
I believe you can get coffee somewhere within the Cosmo, btw, but I did miss the kettle in the room. And in hotels with just a coffee machine, I managed to make tea using it.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Cosmo Daily News, which is directly downstairs serves coffee, but it isn't as good as the deli across the block on Reade Street.
Dunkin Donuts which is on Chambers a block down, served proper tea with milk!
Yeah, the Cosmo is limited on amenities, but in the past month i've stayed 11 nights in hotels, and only made a coffee via the facilities ONCE... (and that's because i got free fresh milk!)

Personally, I don't think it is any worse than a scout about in the M and S sale over here, or TK Maxx on a good day ( by that I mean a day when people aren't like locusts and most stuff isn't on the floor)0
