It's beautiful! Well done :T
I love the colours. Did you plan the colour scheme before or did it just 'evolve'? And what wool did you use and did you buy it online?
Sorry for all the questions but I just have to make one now.0 -
Beautiful blanket Thriftlady, the colours are amazing, what's your next project?
I have the baby cape underway, very hard going, size 2 hook and 3 ply . Well I say a hook, its like crocheting with a pin.:eek:whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Started this on Sunday for my best friend's 7 year old daughter who, funnily enough, loves pink and lilac.
I got a lot done this week on it, as the kitty in photo had surgery (she's hiding the bandage on her neck really well in the pic) and so had her on my lap, staying up all night to make sure she's ok... she also makes a very good crochet table!
(thriftylady, this is using that flat border stitch I was telling you about, this is PRE-blocking)

I just finished posting my tutorial for how to make the border of granny square blankets flat. It's super image heavy, so I have put it on my blog, which you will be able to see from my personal profile
I'd also like to say a big thank you to Thriftlady for inspiring me to come up with this method and for the use of her photo in the tutorial.0 -

It's a great tutorial, really clearly written and illustrated. I love the way you have written which stitch is which right above the actual crochet.:T0 -

It's a great tutorial, lovely clear pics and instructions which makes it easy to follow. I'll be using your method when I've joined my granny squares.0
