Hi everyone -
Looking forward to the start of the challenge... Just started an extra job for 3 months working in a supermarket over Christmas 2 evenings a week (as well as my current day job!). Planning to put all the money I earn in this short term job into the "pay off the mortgage account" rather than squandering it.:jMortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000

If someone had said to me back in January that this mortgage challenge would attract 150 people, I'd probably have laughed at them. But here we are today with two new recruits:
149 secretsavers
150 sipcyme72
who I've just allocated the numbers above, taking the total to 150 members. :j I have PM'd you both.
As others have mentioned - looking forward to this starting. Not long now...

Hello everyone,
Please count me in.
My aim is to reduce my mortgage from £120,000 to £75847.
Good luck, one and all !

So try and be nice to each other.0 -
Hi
I know we haven't started yet but my op of £1600 (which left my account on Monday as a standing order from Barclays) has come off the Woolwich mortgage total today.:j
Quick query - As it's a standing order why does it take the 3 days - it's not a cheque!
Oh and I've got a star - v v happy about that0 -
After a few more overpayments due to very kind quidco we are going great guns from out first 10weeks (or so). Well on course to be at our challenge starting amount of £158k and the addiction is riduclous!! I just hope we can remain enthused for the next 10 years and be clear of the big noose by my 41st!
Waiting for a nice £25 of ING to go straight into the mix and making our own baby food has made a surprising difference for the small £5 outlay for a small hand blender.
What we have noticed is how having a few days off work together can make our spending rocket - and generally pointless too!!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
I'm going to have to increase my original starting point but will PM FB at the end of the month.
Looking forward to the challenge!Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
I'm expecting my start value to be a few hundred pounds higher than originally stated but it's close enough. Just circumstances haven't been in my favour in terms of overpaying for the past couple of months.
Another one here who can't wait for the start date.

Hi all,
Looking forward to this challenge as have only recently taken out a mortgage for 35 years and want to reduce it drastically as there are other things I'd like to spend my money on! Not been a good couple of months as husband's laptop and Xbox have had to be replaced but I am looking for a part-time job (fingers crossed!)0
