Well I'll Probably be back where I started for the March update, due to the bathroom costs. We spent another £400 today (but we did get really good deals on everything) and still have a lot more to pay for. I'm sure it will be worth it when its done, big spending cuts until its all paid back.0

I've been really naughty today too. Had 2 free tickets for West is West preview in Dunfermline which was ok but took old school chum and we ended up going for lunch at Nandos. However, I take my wedding ring off when washing my hands and guess what I did. Yes, I left it in the loo! It was about 4 hours later that I realised what I'd done, called Nandos and they had it! Phew is not strong enough! Told my chum - we were chatting on Facebook - and she suggested I waited till hubby got home within the hour and go back with him. Of course we had to stay and have something to eat - and I even had dessert this time! So an expensive trip to the cinema! Hubby did deserve a nice evening off as he's been working all hours over the past few weeks. Not helping the mortgage much though xxx

Oh SuperfastGran I LOVE Nandos. Rarely go though - why do they never do offers like some of the other chains. I find is so irritating.
Anyone here with a Halifax Mortgage needs to read over the MSE news article regarding 'Halifax to repay £500m to 300000 mortgage holders'
I think I may be eligible but anyone that is has to wait until April to find out and also find out what the 'compensation' is. If they simply give you back the 1% then I work out that's only £375 for me (small mortgage). But hey.....that's another month closer to being MF
And that post should have moved us back to Page 1 so RosieTiger should be pleased with me0 -

Ooo - we're having a bathroom done, too, but that's being funded from the last of the renovation fund we set aside when we moved in. Very exciting, though!
