  • Right, have just got in from work. I really dont like working weekends, especially bank holidays but it pays the bills.

My overpayment for September is winging its way to the building society. This leaves the total outstanding balance at approximately

    £7750.00

Its going down, but ever so slowly.

There will be no more overpayments for me before the cut off date in September.
Mortgage Free as of 31/5/11 :j:j:j:j:j:j:j

It's stupid but I can't wait to post my mortgage progress...it's just the same as usual so I don't quite know why I'm so excited. Ha ha

I am quite excited too as my target was to be at £31,250, and i am going to be at £31,213. You would think i was a lot further ahead than i am to be this excited. :rotfl:

Another little milestone for us, the latest overpayment has taken us into the twenties

Another mortgage payment will come off at the start of September so looking good for the MFiT-T2 chart 3 update.

    Cheers,
    Jock

You can't fly with one foot on the ground!

  • Next on our list is the en-suite (I don't do gold effect taps!) which needs considerable updating.

Same here - we had gold effect taps and a shell basin in our ensuite when we moved in, but not any more!

Looking forward to the next update as my further advance should be below 10k by then! I am so excited to see the significant reductions each quarter - I can't wait to clear it and start on the main mortgage.

Best wishes everyone (back to school tomorrow for me, followed by DS and DD on Thursday, both starting "big school" where I teach)

My mortgage payment hasn't gone yet so I refuse to put my update on. Stupid bank holiday...grumble grumble.

The Mortgage payment and the transfer to ISA are tomorrow, so will update before the end of the week. Looking forward to logging on to my Internet Banking tomorrow to see my lower mortgage balance.

I feel your pain!! The knocking off the numbers and then updating all the various spreadhseets / forums to make it real is one of the best bits of the month for me. Thoroughly looking forward to tomorrow but the thrills of a) knowing the bank account will be higher than the outstanding mortgage this time next month (even though it'll be just so and we won't be able to clear it, b) organising my cheerio mortgage meeting with HSBC, and c) finally clearing the thing off are all to come yet!

Busy over the last few days - finally sorted wills out (free from Martin's email a couple of months back) and, following extensive health checks, the new life insurance kicks in tomorrow so there's to be no dying today!

    Cheers,

    Billy (#85)
