Well, I think I know where brizzle lives!
Just popping in to show my head and say hi! I've not updated because I got very confused about how to do it and I've had no computer at home since beginning of December. I don't get a chance to scrutinise this thread at work. I shall try to catch up with it over my next few nights.
I may have to put on my dunce cap for the updates for a whil longer. I seem to remember not being able to access the thingy from work.
I'm still here and still plodding though.
Will now be finishing a month later as I have had to change the order of payment. My Mum needs her money back so have sent a lump sum of £3k and will give monthly £500. Due to the relatively small size of my mortgage now though, it only adds an extra month on. That in itself is a huge boon.
Try to catch up soon peeps!

Nationwide have said that I have overpaid 26k and this money is available back to me. would this still be at 2.5%

the rate you would pay would be whatever rate that account is on so if it's on their variable which is currently 2.5% then yes any money you have back would be at 2.5% and if the rate changes whatever the new rate is. OH keeps paying extra off the mortgage and I hope we don't need to get it back again.

Overpaid £300 in January :) Really pleased as it was an expensive month with various expensive purchases such as a new car seat for our baby and my OH's bday pressie. :)

    Kaz,

There's lots of useful info at the start of this thread. Eg see post #4, which gives the chart update schedule. We're doing 12 charts, one every 3 months, so the first chart is about 5 weeks away in March:

Hi just normal monthly payment gone through but it still means £558 off of the balance.

Chimney is now leaking so more expenditure - never mind at least the balance is going the right way

Only £50 so far this month, but am waiting for £150 back from British Gas. We installed a wood burner last year and have halved our gas bill so I'll be adding that to the mortgage op when it arrives!!
Hope everyone is doing ok x

    Well done to every one.
Just normal payment for me this month and probably all year as concentrating on getting rid of all debt this year.
Was going to drop out of this challenge but seeing as it's a 3 year one and I'll have loads more to throw at the mortgage in the last 2 years I may be able to achive mortgage free still in that time.
