  • Have just started a part-time job - only till end of March though but at least there'll be some money for my first overpayment next month! Treating this as "extra" money so will be able to pay off a few things and put some away for car tax later in the year etc.
Can't get my statement online but can ring anytime to get a balance. Annual statement should be out in the next 3-4 weeks so will have a better idea of figures then.
Positive start to the year - hope it continues!

Made a few small payments so far this month to get going again properly after the Christmas excesses. We also have a load of birthdays in January which always delays our straightening up but hey ho!! Payday next week which means another £600 and will allow us to colour another brick on our house!! Overall a good start to frugal 2010!!

I've not reported in for a while but just letting you all know I've just reduced my mortgage term from 21 years to 5  So very excited! I could have managed less but I'll be going on maternity leave later in the year and wanted to keep some back for that, and baby things of course. Besides, I can still OP so I'll still get my junkie mfw fix! :money:

By the way, is our first update due by 12/02/10 or 12/03/10? Bit rubbish at maths!

    Updating soon...

Hi - I'm back. First time I've been on here in about 2 weeks - an eternity for me!

Still, there's lots of info on the first page. See post 4 for the chart update schedule:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=17475813&postcount=4

First chart is 12th March. I'm expecting my own March mortgage to clear on the 3rd or 4th of March, so I'll probably be using that value as my current outstanding value.

Feel free to start feeding updates through from the beginning of March - I'll post a reminder nearer the time.

    Hi,

I've just realized, that I haven't updated financial bliss with the right starting amount for this challenge.
I better pm him in a moment (when I can find the paper.....)

I have to go back to re-budgeting, as a few things in our life have changed over the last week. So I have to see how much we can OP.

Good work everyone and keep those OP's coming!

    Egon
