Buyer bought a bus, paid in cash, drove it then brought it back

Have you considered that it may not just have been the bridge that he crashed into ?? Have you heard about any accidents ?? He may have crashed into a car..then the bridge..or worse a person. He is obviously panicking big time about something..is he worrying about points? Has he hurt someone.. it was not insured I take it ? As you did not notice initially I am guessing the damage is not catastrophic .. he could have put it down to experience and had it mended..he put a lot of effort into getting the van. Me thinks there is more to this story .. you say it was only up the road.. why did he take several hours to come back. He also knew your name - could he have given your name as being the driver ??????? shivers !
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes

I hope the money has been paid into the bank and is okay!
There must be something funny about him if he has left the bus and never demadned his money back there and then and still hasnt got it back - I would have been really really trying to get the money back by now - unless I had done something wrong that is!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -

He paid in cash at the time so the money is kosher!
Where we live and on that road its unlikely he passed any more than 5 cars up to this bridge! This bridge is a one car at a time bridge and it looks ,like he just mis judged the size of the bus and got too close to the side and 'scrape'. Mad thing is - he claimed to be a lorry driver. He turned up in a suit with briiefcase (not the stereotype lorry driver!) and when he drove off with the bus he semed to have no concept of the size. And it's smaller than a lorry!0 -
This one will run and run
Just like that bus really0 -
with 5 bids on it, you'd have thought he really wanted it!:happyhear0

I think I'd email him and ask where he would like you to leave the key. That way, you get instructions from him in writing, just in case he claims someone stole it because you left the key in it!!
You could also offer to post him the key, but do so recorded.
Great thread!*** Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly ***

Yes, I would certainly recommend this as he could be using the technique to accuse you of leaving the keys in the vehicle and someone has stolen it :rolleyes:Mumstheword wrote:I think I'd email him and ask where he would like you to leave the key.
