If you dial the 0845/0870 and its pointed direct to your destination without having to put in another number thats direct.(Inclusive on BT).
If its a gateway number and you have to dial another number after the first 0845/0870 number to reach your destination thats indirect.(Not Inclusive according to BT).0 -

It will not show up under 'Recent Calls' , indicating you have not been charged.
On the bill itself it will be in 'Free Calls' but these are not itemised.
I made 2 calls on Saturday,(prefixing with 1280), one to an 0845 and one to an 0870, my online BT bill is showing,(under recent calls), as total call charges £0.00. and so is my Virgin online "open" bill. Will not be convinced until I see the proper bill, which I am afraid will not be until the end of February.
As I don't make calls during the day or evening via BT,(Unlimited Weekend Plan), or daytime Mon-Fri via Virgin, (CPS, free weekend and evening calls), the bills should be just normal, i.e. no charges for calls.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Has anyone made any calls using this service (0870 339 1111) to an overseas destination on a BT Anytime plan and found that they have been charged for it with BT?0

Hi
Wonder if you could help please. I'm currently with BT for line rental only, then talk talk and one tel I think for various override thingys (1899). I'm thinking of changing back to BT (don't all shout at me at once!) for less hassle and price.
I never ring abroad, I've already got cheap broadband through another company 9.95 per month abnd tied in for 12m. I ring a few mobiles, daytime calls and occassional 0845/0870 when I can't get round them. And I currently spend about £35pm on all calls and line rental between the 3 companies.
Any idea whether I would be better off with BT on the anytime plan or another of theirs?

So, if u try to dial such a number, will it result in u being charged or will the call fail to go through?0 -
Dear friends,
I have been told that there is a "fair usage policy for making 0870 and 0845 calls – max. 1,000 mins or 150 calls a month. If either of these limits on free calls is exceeded, BT will charge for these calls until further notice".
I wanted to know exactly what it means by saying "max. 1,000 mins or 150 calls a month".
What is that 'a month' period they are considering.- Is it the month from my Billing date or
- is it 1st of every month or
- is it last 30 days usage.
If we take it as an example like my bill has been produced on 6th July for the period of 6th July - 5th August. Can I use this 1000 minutes or 150 calls of 0870 or 0845 calls between 6th July - 5th August anytime or do I need to consider any other dates.
For example-
My billing date - 6th July
Billing period - 6th July - 5th August
1. If I use 200 minutes between 6th of July to 15th July, how many minutes will be remaining at the end of 15th July? I expect that as 800 minutes left till 5th August.
2. In the same month suppose if I have used 200 on 4th July (which is outside my current billing period 6th July - 5th Aug) and used 200 minutes between 6th of July to 15th July, how many minutes will be remaining at the end of 15th July?
does this comes under this 1000 minutes or 150 calls limit?
Anybody have an idea about this kind of situation....
Please let me know guys...hope you guys understand what I am asking for.
Thank you0 -
