But they are not screwed up clothes they are just folded clean clothes that may need an iron wizzing over them?!..like my dh just said it takes about 20 secs if that..a whole pile of all our clothes would take hours each night. My ironing board is always up so not a prob either. I feel i am wasting no time at all as get more constructive things done!
But surely it takes the same amount of time to do one or two items a day as it does to spend however long a day/week doing it all? I understand that you don't see the point of ironing something that may not be worn, but to put something away knowing that it will need ironing before wearing just baffles me! I don't have space to keep my board up all the time, so that doesn't help.Lol exaclty my point with my dd and dh at times grr! why bother i say!
My friend actually pays me to do her ironing that is THE only time i will stand there doing it for longer than 5 mins..then it sits in her room for weeks getting crumpled again..logic?!
I don't know, i'd make them do it themselves, but then i'm not a parent/wife (maybe there's a reason for this)
But that's not what i'm saying, once my clothes are ironed I put them all away ready for wearing when I want them. Ironing them, then leaving them out to get creased again is just stupid.See why?!!! really i have quite a bit of spare time at the mo as not working much but i would have to be seriously bored to do the above!
But if the ironing board is out, and you have a big pile of ironing, it doesn't really add that much time to do the knicks, socks & pj's! And everbody gets a better nights sleep in ironed pj's (don't they!). :rotfl:
Plus, everything looks so much neater in the wardrobe/drawers in a neatly ironed pile.[/QUOTE]
But socks become decreased as soon as your foot goes in them! Personally, my pants are a bit small to iron and I don't wear pj's so that saves me valuable time
I agree with the last bit though, I like to know everything is at hand, ironed and ready to wear.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Yeah this was my job when I was at home - probaly where my hatred comes from
.
I don't like the cold but I like winter clothes 'coz you don't have to iron jumpers:T0 -
I hardly iron much at all. I dry things and then smoothe, fold and put away. When I go to wear them they have normally been "flattened" or the creases have dropped out if its hanging up.
So unless it absolutely needs ironing, it doesnt get ironed.
And if something does need ironing, I'm a iron on the day I wear it personBaby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -

haha no.... I see I have this coming for a long time! she's 5 in a week :eek:0 -
5 tops and 4 pillow cases, done every Monday - takes half an hour max - occasionally I get slovenly and leave it until the following Monday.
I love ironing - as I live on my own I don't have much of it. I do remember the day ex left me standing and ironing 30 of his prized Thomas Pink shirts - oh for hindsight when I would have scorched the lot of them!
I never iron duvet covers, by the time I have fought it into the duvet it was be squashed as hell anyway!0
