  • It just goes to show how varied opinions can be as I thought this film was a complete waste of time and was dumbfounded by the positive comments - and, with hindsight, all those Oscar nominations. I'm so glad I didn't pay to see it! It's definitely the worst film I've seen for ages and I was tempted to walk out, but everyone else seemed to be engrossed (or in a stupor of disbelief?). Contrary to some other reports, my screening was almost 100% full, which is encouraging, as the manager said they hadn't done a free preview for years but might do more as yesterday's had gone so well. Did other screeings have a proper interval, as ours did? And free tea or coffee for "Culture Club" card-holders? Not worth joining just for a free drink, though, as you have to subscribe to the paper.

The cinema I was in was almost full as well. We didn't have an interval though.

Has anyone got tickets for Faintheart? Do you think it's worth seeing - I need to decide whether I should try and convince my boyfriend that he would rather come and see this than watch the footy tomorrow night!

I'm going. I think it looks funny and I really like Jessica Hynes nee Stephenson and Eddie Marsan so generally enjoy most things they are in.

as far as I'm aware no one has received email confirmation for doubt so far. people are hoping that there is an error in the system and that they will fix this tomorrow.
    On the website it says
"You will be given a confirmation number. Write it down and take it to the cinema before the screening. " so you could just print off that page and just print off the booking confirmation screen.
However if you want to be 100% sure you could go and buy the paper
Does this mean you can get in without the paper? Have any of you tried this before?

    I suspect they've gotten wise.

I can't get into their site now using my e-mail address (although it let me register with a different one).

I suspect they won't be sending e-mails and you will have to take the voucher that was in yesterday's Culture bit of the paper; write your confirmation number on that and take that along with you on the night.

I don't know this for sure but that's my guess.

On a different note re faintheart tomorrow. I duly turned up with my Congratualtions e-mail to ask for tickets and the manager told me he didn't have any and to go to My Space to get them ; I tried this to no avail; I have e-mailed Vertigo films and have no reply. So do we just turn up tomorrow with the Congrats e-mail? Has anyone got their paws on a physical ticket for this?

Look forward to hearing from you all..........

Thanks Jilsa. I really would like to see this film so I'll have to get my thinking cap on. Wish I'd bought the paper though.
