    hey

so i just booked some ticktes for the film 'doubt' screening on the 3/2/09. when i booked it i got this message:

Thank you for booking your tickets. Please check the details then enter the BOOKING NUMBER below on the relevant page in the newspaper and take it with you to the cinema you have booked in good time for the screening.

Which newspaper do i need to get? i mean im guessing its the Sunday Times but is there a particular date paper i need to get?

edit: just realised the answer is on the page before this one! (sorry)
does anyone know when you get the confirmation email? is it pretty much straight away or is it like the day before?

    Nope,

i have not got the e-mail. i went back in and use te retrieve button and have sent e-mails of it three times and still no ticket. It's on the list so hopefully once they sort their site out it'll work again soon!

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one affected - I haven't received any emails from screenbookings either and haven't been able to print my tickets out. I used the retrieve function like you did (loads of times) and still nothing...

I managed to get my ticket at four in the morning, guess I must have been lucky, but no email yet either!

I have just called Culture+ and told about the glitch, the guy said he has sent the email to me but I haven't got anything as yet, then he said it would be advisable to buy The Times and fill in the info myself.
Their telephone number is 02030601663 I think is a good idea to call and let them know the site is not working properly. So we don't need to buy anything.:p
Thanks to those who help us to win !

    Hi All,

I hope you don't mind me joining in the thread. I decided my "treat" to myself this year was more trips to the cinema all free one's.:D

So far I have seen Milk and Nick & Norah for free. I was meant to see Benjamin Button this morning with a Skyperks ticket but my DS was poorly in the night and I have had to give it a miss. And on Tuesday I am going to see Faintheart.

The evening one's are quite difficult for me as I have to get my DH to leave work early to be home in time for me to leave and get to the cinema but I am determined.

    Hi,

Glad you're making the most of the free films :) I used to go the cinema all the time as a student as it was so cheap and then when I graduated last year I realised how much it actually costs for most people!! So now I just got and see all the free films instead :)

Sorry to hear you didn't manage to see Benjamin Button - I really enjoyed it although a lot of people are saying they didn't. There is another screening of it at Odeon cinemas (i think) on Tuesday so you could and get tickets for that instead of Faintheart as it starts at 8.30pm which might make it easier for you to get to (although it would finish rater late!)

Hope you enjoy Faintheart and that your DS feels better soon :)

  • Went to see "Curious Case of Benjamin Button" today at the Picturehouse in Exeter, excellent film, highly recommend it, BUT there were less than a 1/3 of the seats taken up, is this standard or is it just people not turning up? When I booked my tickets online last night it said there were 3 seats left, so after I had 2 I make that 1 seat left........there was easily 100 seats left!!

If it is that people just don't turn up can I implore people to cancel their booking, I really want to take the kids to see "Bolt" in a couple of weeks, but there are no tickets left for Exeter, we get very few films free down here, and I've been to see a couple of films through seefilmfirst and it was the same then loads of empty seats, so please if anyone isn't going to use 4 tickets to "Bolt" can you let me know!

  • I went to see the Sky Perks screening of Benjamin Button this morning in Cardiff the film is absolutely awesome i can see what all the fuss is about reminds me a bit of Forest Gump but about a million times more thought provoking. Brad Pitt definitely deserves some kind of award for this it proves that he's not just a pretty face, would definitely give it a full 10 out 10.

I signed up for Bolt yesterday and the email came through in about 10 minutes.

And yes it would be todays Sunday Times but according to the experts on here you don't need it so YEAH!
