I second that i get my excitment up thinking theres a new code only to be deflated two seconds later come on peeps stop doing it, it's getting really annoying.

I know, infact one of the people doing it has made thousands of posts and has just made a comment about none left in her area, surely someone who has had thousands of posts must know the rules??

I have done what was decided and sent her a very polite message asking her to post in here instead if its just chat, I hope I dont get told where to go!!!

Is there anyway the tickets thread can have a warning before you post, saying exactly what is allowed to be posted there.

Or maybe this one could be stickied under it or something so it's easier for people to find.

It's not only the posts that shouldn't have been posted there in the first place, but then comes a load of posts from people either telling off the postee, or telling off the people who've told off the postee. If it was just left there on its own then it would be deleted when a mod spots it and they would soon realise that they don't get any answer to queries on there.

i don't think you need a warning telling you what is supposed to be on there as the words no discussion should be enough

I do find it so annoying, I will be in the middle of something, get an email and find there is mindless chat. I have stopped asking people to chat as it was not working and just causing bickering. I have now been sending a very polite email worded like this.

Hi there

THis is just a polite reminder that the code thread is only for codes and not chat, there is a discussion only thread too.

It was decided rather than people keep asking others not to post chat that we would send them a polite messge instead.
