alot of people just take the tickets but then don't go ,.... what a waste
I agree with you there, based on the fact that usually the cinema is half full. On Sunday morning however I was on the other side of the coin. My littlest one was parked ready and waiting with a babysitter, and I jumped in my car for a much anticipated screening of Slumdog Millionaire but it was soooooo cold and the car wouldn't start. I tried several times but no joy, and I wouldn't have got there in time by bus.
I was gutted - not only because we would miss out, but I felt lousy that I had deprived other people ( with posher cars!) a screening. Too late to return the tickets or pass them on, it was such a waste! I felt dirty.0 -
I saw Australia (Jacobs Creek/Sky screening) tonight. An hour before the film there were free glasses of wine, of which I had a few and canapes. The whole reception was filmed aswell for some reason.
Then in the theatre, just before the film, everyone was given a bottle of water and a Jacob's Creek book on wine tasting. One lady also won a prize, which was some kind of leather bound case of wine or something.
All in all, we got a lot free!
I enjoyed the film aswell, although 2 and a half hours is a bit long!0 -

I was there too
Thought the reception with the wine and canapes was fab..
Also really enjoyed the film itself, the best ive seen in a long time.
Fab freebie night out all in all...
Tho the guy with the video camera was a bit annoying lol.0 -
Just back from seeing "Australia" what a disappointment. Bonus points for some fabulous scenery shots and 10 out of 10 for the totally fit Hugh Jackman. A little different this time as it was sponsored by Jacobs Creek wine. We were asked to arrive an hour before the film started and offered a free "glass" of wine and various canapes.0

Got turned away at Gateshead Odeon for Bride-wars yesterday. I thought with seefilmfirst they only gave out enough tickets to fill the screen?
Also of all the films I expected to be full Bride Wars was not it! I'm sure there will be other films so never mind.0 -

that is a waste when people really want to watch the film as well think some just like the thought of yahay i got a free ticket feeling. i cant understand when i went to watch sex drive 3 people went in then left befor the film even startedand the screening was luckly to be even 50% full.
everyone is wonderfull well all most :A0 -
why is there never any good films showing in the one at Camberley
So far the only one i have seen codes for is that Nixon/Frost film. Still i got some tickets and will probably go as its free
Will be giving my tickets back if i cant0 -
just wanted to say I thought 'Slumdog Millionaire' was an absolutely brilliant movie - hard hitting, stark and punchy yet tender & poignant in parts. TOP MARKS from me ;-)you know when you're getting older - the wife says, "let's go upstairs and make love" and you reply, "I can't do both" !!0
