quoia, the imdb ratings breakdown has some very interesting stats...
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1014775/ratings
Unsurprisingly, females rate this film higher than men, though it's actually in the 45+ category that the gap is biggest. But in the under 18 category, it seems boys liked it just a little more than girls! Crazy, huh?

Oh and a very interesting stat unrelated to gender: 64.7% of the voters gave the lowest rating available!

    "dinney day"
well to be honest lived in Portsmouth for a long time & dinney is a word they use for being a bit dim so having a day when I'm a bit thick!!!!
might not use the word anymore but they used to. I also have a terrible habit of refering to pacifiers/dummies as dodies which does get me some looks but again thats from my years in pompey.
    ....................................

Thanks, I sort of gathered its meaning but wondered where it came from.

I shall have to ask my brother-in-law if he's had a Dinney day. He was in the Royal Navy for 28 years and obviously spent a lot of time in Pompey. Also his family comes from Portsmouth (mother was born on the Isle of Wight) and he's still got several cousins living there as well as a seafaring (now retired) uncle (was Captain of the P&O liner SS Canberra before becoming a semi-retired I-O-W ferry Captain).

I wonder if it has Naval origins ?

I too went to Gateshead to see Bride Wars and was very surprised to see it full and people turned away. Like you say, not the type of film I was expecting a full house for. Was there the night before to see Slumdog Millionaire and it was only 65% full to my surprise. I would have been very annoyed if I'd travelled 20-30 miles in rush hour traffic and then couldn't get in. I too thought once you had a ticket it guaranteed you entry.

I thought Slumdog was fabulous, Bride Wars wasn't so hot, but okay.

    IMPORTANT (and thanks God)

Please note the correct time of the Anvil! The Story Of Anvil screening due to take place on Tuesday 10th February is 6:30pm prompt. No entry once film has commenced. Apologies for any confusion.

To reprint your ticket with the correct time simply follow the link on the confirmation email.

If you need any further help please email Jane at help@seefilmfirst.com

( I did send an email asking if 9:30 pm was the right time, I thought it was too late for weekday screening , this is the answer)
Thanks to those who help us to win !

It has always been their practice to over issue tickets and therefore has always been on a first come first serve basis.

In my experience, there have not been many occasions that people have been turned away but it is a chance you take by turning up close to the start time. Remember they do clearly say 6pm for 6.30pm start.

My sister & her children are still there too. my Bil use to call sailors skates- something to do with the fish I believe.

As for recent scores we are being rubbish! only good thing about yesterday was that my lovely jose was there. didn't agree with the appointment of big Phil as he plays the Brazilian way! although I didn't look at the team sheet for Derby- Man utd:rotfl:

2 tickets to see Milk in Birmingham tonight, 6.30pm.

Unfortunately I can no longer go. I can't see any info on the email about how to cancel - I'd hate to see them go to waste.

Any ideas on how to cancel my booking?

Apologies for this off topic banter.

    It was Derby v

    Kuszczak
    Rafael
    Vidic
    Evans
    O'Shea

    Gibson
    Anderson (Carrick 74)
    Scholes (Ronaldo 63)
    Nani
    Welbeck (Rooney 63)
    Tevez

(unused on the bench) Amos, Giggs, Fletcher, Possebon

Hardly a reserve side though - those in red played against Chelsea - and Scholes, Tevez and Nani are hardly amateurs :rotfl:

We are not just pants but are slowly becoming a joke. I believe that following the result yeaterday we have blown all chances of the title this season. Our form definitely took a dive once Steve Clark left!!!

Jose must have sat there yesterday rubbing his hands in glee at our play - there is just no team spirit there!!!!

    Big questions to answer are:-

Why was Rooney not booked for dissent?
Why did Phil do nothing positive throughout the game to change play?
