Just had a phone call from MBNA (about Alliance & Leicester cc) - told them I was br as from Monday - person went very quiet for few long seconds - asked for my case number and OR name - I dont have the OR name yet and she said I would need to get the name so that they would then stop calling me. I said, makes no difference whether you call me or not, i cant help you

No I dont feel scared, dont feel bad, dont feel guilty..if A&L hadnt hiked up their interest rates so much perhaps I may have been able to pay them something:rolleyes:

And just called OR office - they said all I need to give them is the name of the office dealing, not a person's name - so I did the right thing:)

Im now on the Insolvency site today - I dont like the fact that anyone can search and see it. Maybe Im having a moment:(

    Afternoon,

It's kind of a morbid curiousity really as I looked for myself this morning and found it a bit weird to see my address details etc. I know no-one would be able to see it if they don't know that I'm in this situation but it still seemed quite odd :undecided

I'm a bit wary about the fact it will also be in my local paper as several copies are delivered to my workplace every day and am wondering whether anyone will see it and then have the guts to query it with me.......

I must stop worrying really. Ultimately I feel better for doing it and surely that's all that matters :D

I have had the same with Mercer's who are dealing with my Barclaycard, I have told them three times that I have gone bankrupt, yet they keep saying they are going to keep ringing until they hear from the OR:mad: It is really getting on my nerves now, surely it is harassment?

i would say so. I sent my creditors a letter each yesterday with a copy of the BR Order - hopefully that will stop some calls.
You could just end the call when you realise its them again - I will if they start:mad:

Could do yes, it is just the fact that they start each call the same, want me to confirm some security details and then comes the blurb about how much I owe and can I pay that today? I say no, I am bankrupt and then they say oh yes on such and such a date/place etc. They have all the info but keep playing dumb every time they call.
