  • Hi All thanks for that - Hubby has gone off to court, with paperwork in hand!!

I am stuck at home with kids, as he had to be at court for 8.00am. Only found out time to be there yesterday, when I had to phone courts to make sure that a judge was available today. So was to late to organise, someone to look after the kids, so I could go with him.

First of all the lady said that they had no space (just a pop in court!) But when I said that hubby had booked day off work, and due to work commitments, he could not get no time off for another 2 weeks, she said, that he should go to court, but may have a 2 - 3 hour wait!! So hopefully he won't have to wait too long!

Will let you all know, how he gets on later xx

  • Hi All

Well Hubby is now officially BR as of 10.15am.

I have just spoken to him, as he was still at the court, waiting to speak to the OR, which, he did, then hubby called me straight back.

He sounded quite sad, and said that he felt a failure, so I tried to cheer him up, not sure if it worked though!! But told him, that he is now debt free, and can get on with his/our life - just my turn next!!

The clerk at the OR office, confirmed his details and told him that OR may want to speak/see him possibly within the next 2 weeks, but gave no official answer, so just have to wait and see.

Took details of our Co-Op account, but hubby forget to ask, if still OK to use - what do you think? As we have direct debits coming out next week!!

Will let you know, if hubby tells me anymore - all the best

Hi Zandy, tell your OH he is not a failure! He just did what he had to do to survive in this financial climate.

re the coop account, I think you should still be ok to use it, I didn't speak to my OR for a while after my BR and was still using my coop account without any problem. If for some reason it does get frozen, just call the OR asap and ask if they can unfreeze it asap for you! It should be fine though as most OR's will know that BR people have either a coop or barclays account.

    Congratulations to your OH!
