MSE Andrea was even moved to send me a PM on 11 December in her role as "Editorial Liaison" to say that I was "coming up on the Abuse Team's radar" quite a lot and suggested I be "a little less brusque".

When I asked her to explain what was "brusque" in any of my last ten, typically verbose :rolleyes: postings, to enable me to eliminate this regrettable "brusqueness" that is apparently endemic in my humble contributions, she ducked out and was unable to summon the common courtesy to reply.

I thought this was strange - some might even venture to suggest hypocritical - coming from somebody who embraces the philosophy that "There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps" (sic).

So, I remain unenlightened and I just hope you don't find this no doubt terse, abrupt and dismissive posting too "brusque".

Leopard, having read many of your posts, brusqueness is certainly not something I would accuse you of!

I may not agree with you on everything but I'm amazed you were 'coming up on the abuse teams radar'. I've always found your posts to be reasonably balanced and fair, obviously wrong on occasion though!

Leopard, your 'ratio' is about 2:1 mine is 3:1, ...yours is better (never paid attention til today)...I nearly added a 'thanks' to you post above, but that would widen the chasm

This thread seems to have gone wildly off topic! We seem to have turned into a discussion of the thanks system and the cencorship of the forum. Now, what I want to know is, what happened to Conor? Ironically, the cencors will probably deem it neccicary to delete this post, a PM from someone would be nice.;)

Back on topic, please, the OP wants answers! Not necessarily where the free pron is as she may already know the answer, but it's always handy to have your kids passwords so you can check their emails..not exactly spying on them...it's not as if they have rights or anything...they want to live under my roof....

what's wrong with old fashioned parental controls, aka, the parent stands over said child and watches what they do, because the computer is in the living room where they can be watched easily..

oh.. and the off button... really useful that one is!!
