I was in Lakeside at 11am today, I have never seen anything like it. There were teams of people with multiple trolleys they'd taken from M&S filled with stuff being guarded by one of their number whilst someone else carried on foraging. I got most of the big stuff I was looking for but it was difficult navigating your way round with DS in buggy.

I got:
Purple Ted Baker vanity case £8.**
No7 P&P case £12.**
No7 square purse with eye shadow palette etc £5
No7 big black zip up case £17.**
R&M grey vanity case £8.**
5 x TS red root touch ups on clearance 99p with 3 x 150pts back from ACM
silver brag book £1.50

And it's all for meeeeeee - I am sick of hoarding stuff during whole year so only bought things I'd like to play with!

Looks like there'll definitely be a 90% sale (if anything left) - one of the stands didn't have it's sign up and you could see back of sign in next aisle saying 90% off so obviously the signs all get turned over soon.

Phew, how fast this thread has moved in 24 hours!!!

Been having a rough time with work so was in need of some serious retail therapy today. I used my boots points (£62) so I am happy that I have not blown the credit card

I went to Reading Oracle today around 3pm and I must say there was no a whole lot left really. Plenty of Hackett sets, FCUK tins, St Tropez sets, bits of Elle MacPherson. No No7, S&G etc. I trundled to Broad Street and although the gift section was somewhat smaller there was a fair variety of gifts. They did have some No7 night palettes, Ruby and Millie stuff. I did notice that there was not really any hair gift sets in either just john freida blonde and brunette ones in Broad Street. However if you are after Royal Jelly sets you are in luck in probably both stores!!

From what the SA was saying in Oracle, I doubt there will be more stock. We were talking about how busy it had been and I said what a good deal 75% off to which she replied yeah and it will be over by today by the look of the shelves.

Hope you all managed to bag your bargains. .com is pants too!!!

there is - you apply to it - what happened was i got bumped off when that advantage card machine error happened last year. they wrote to me about it and told me to rejoin in store. the sales assistant then scanned in the wrong barcode. i didn't know there was two barcodes either until it happened to me. now it's on it won't come off and four advantage cards later i am inclined to leave it on their since my local store understand the issue. my DOB is correct on the machine instore. SAs have tried overwriting the barcode with the other HC barcode and it just doesn't work. there is nothing they can do/are allowed to do on the till to change the settings of the card.
believe it or not i really dont want the discount, i find it very embarrassing as i look very young and i wont use my card in strange stores because of it. i get my home store to put the points on at my next visit.

Has anyone been to the Arnison Centre today, was it busy?

hiya :j me and DD were in durham store at 9am this morning ...she was the one with the pushchairr and i was the harrassed one in the brown coat...managed to get a load of stuff too....left there at 9.30 and headed to metro...total mayhem!!! went to arnison after work and shelves were bare...a few toys at the back ..mainly iggle piggle...sa at durahm and arnison both said stockrooms were empty

Well as I was there from 9.30 till about 4, we may have passed each other! I get referring to "Blinkies" in the hope someone would say "Hi"!! It was manic wasn't it! I did get a bit miffed with ladies who were sweeping the shelves with their arms, but considering the number there - it wasn't too bad.

Did you see the pallets of stuff they were constantly bringing out! Most important, did you get your free coffee from Krispie Kremes!!!!!

I was in there at 8:05am and there were about twenty women with three bags full each. things that had stood twenty high last night had one or none left. There weresome people pushing and shoving and you'd have thought they'd never seen a sale before!!! I was really disappointed not to get the no7 travel bag but got most other things I wanted. I work across the road so will be popping into boots daily to see if there are any more deliveries so if you want me to look out for anything for you, let me know xxx

I know it was a pants night for most of us, I got my order through for it to be cancelled All my stores had been vulturised (new word??) so I've got nil nada zilch. I am very disappointed.

My basket contained all toys for my brood. If I had of got them I was sorted for ALL their next birthdays and 80% of Christmas - all for a fraction of the cost. I gave up with my on line order, when it came up with the dreaded error!
Had a look in the morning and .com was impossible to get on to.

My local boots store had been cleared by 10.30am.
I went in at lunch time to get a refund on something and the shelves were bare

Went out of town to a smaller branch and it only had 1 R&M set, 2 mens scents of attraction gift sets
and some reduced L'oreal hair stuff.
Picked up the hair colour as it was half price, gave 2 x 200 point vouchers and the till said they were free.
The SA said, that was ok.:)

Might try some where else 2 morrow and see what the day brings.

The Wrexham town centre store had some stuff left at lunch time today (not as much as usual) but the Plas Coch (Sainsbury's store) was almost wiped out. Only had the mens Hackett sets left and few odd bits and pieces.

I've recently found my boots card (yay) so am planning on doing some bootsing tomorrow.
Anyone got any tips for a newbie to this?
