Just wanted to add before I doze off that I ventured over to BROUGHTON this evening and it is totally EMPTY!! So any North West bootsers....I really wouldn't bother going there! LOL
I walked out with one No 7 nail varnish got with a blinkie. :rotfl:

Anyone know whether Bromborough is empty? What about Wrexham?

There is an earlier post stating that Bromborough was almost emptied by 2 pm today but Chester is supposed to have sets left.

Wrexham had a quite a bit left at lunchtime today but it was flying off the shelves. The other store at Plas Coch was almost wiped out this evening, few odd mens gift sets left, mainly Hackett.

    Regarding the lost bunny

Have tried the bus company, (actually waited outside for an hour for the same bus to come back arounde again too!!)have tried ringing boots, thinking about ebay,is there any other board i could put this on,do you think?
Try the media requests board on www.netmums.com or there is actually a website for lost toys, ill try and find it. :)

  • evening all, the last 24 hours have been a real adventure - lol, and i first wanted to thank everyone on the board who has contributed in any way.

    anyway, i was just wondering

    1) if there is
    2) if not, is it allowed?
& 3) if no to number 1 and yes to number 2,should we start one?

    some sort of swap shop?

i personally and guess there are a few the same got kind of caught up in the mad rush at my local today, and once i got home and took stock have found ive got lots of stuff to return, and theres also a few bits i wanted that i didnt find.

so rather than lug it back to store we could either exchange or trade at cost any unwanted bits and pieces?

please dont lynch me if its a pants idea, but i just thought being such a friendly board, and knowing i have some stuff that others have said they were disapointed not to get it might be an idea

I gave up on the website after 2 hours of trying to checkout! Went to Birmingham High Street for 8am (opens at 7.30) and was brisk but not to busy at first then went a bit mad. Got Most of what I wanted though and even saw someone buying - 2 of the metal trolleys that the sa's bring the stock out on - FULL OF SALE ITEMS! They must have bought at least 100 things. It seemed like they had just bought the trolley out to stock some shelves and she must have said I will have all of these! What the hell wound you do with all them items - unless you have a shop and are going to sell them!
Some greedy biatch apparently cleaned High St out last year in the 75% off sale.

Could be a market trader taking the trolley-full?

    Bromborough always goes quickly.

Can confirm Chester was relatively well stocked at 5pm (comapred to the bald trafford centre). Sets included Natural collection, banana split dishes, FCUK purse sets, John Frieda Brilliant Brunette, cat mugs, dog mugs, reduced photo albums, hackett sets, lavender bags, yardley soaps, wrapping paper galore, trevor sorbie sets with the belt

Cheshire oaks had big white aromatherapy type bags in, no7 purse sets, fcuk sets, mouse mats, book ends etc - predict this will all be gone by weekend

Well I wasn't going to bother with the .com sale but my little one decided that he wanted feeding at that point so we snuggled down on the bed, him on his food supply, me on my laptop and I had a little shop.

My first shop didn't seem to go through (it was only 44 pounds odd but I had free postage?!!) and when I logged back in my basket was empty so went back to my favourites and started over again adding a few more bits and then checked out and...it worked!!!

I had been reading the refugee thread with everyone getting steadily more and more frustrated so didn't think I'd get through but it seems I did. Checked my order history and it now has both orders in there?!!! No idea what will turn up!

I read Broclo's post about needing to have a confirmation e mail to stand a hope in hell of receiving anything so checked my hotmail account and there is a confirmation e mail for the second order but not one for the first...all very strange but it will therefore be all the more exciting when or if anything turns up! I'll keep you posted. By the way my orders were at 3.29 and 3.42 am.

I went into town for about twenty to nine and it was mayhem already. I managed to pick up a P and P set and a FCUK set plus some posh crackers. Once upstairs I got a Thomas the Tank Engine aquadraw, a Fifi bubble blower thing, a Jelly Bean dispenser thing, some Christmas cards, wrap, some dog shaped speakers, the mens and ladies travel accessories and electrical bags, a telescopic golf ball retriever (!...Mums other half into golf), a golf shoe bag, a box of chocolates and I think that's about it...all for about 61 pounds worth of points....yippee.

Mum then had an optitians appointment so I went round and picked up a few bits for her so she is really chuffed too..she spent 12 pounds in points and 18 pounds cash but got the country living weekend bag, the country living gardening bag, some duplo stuff and a few other bits really really cheap.

Am trying to resist the urge to take another trip in tomorrow but think I'll have to give in to temptation!

Yep, I think that must have been why 2 x SAs got six trolleys from M & S for the "woman who'd driven 80 miles for the sale and has a large family".

Either market traders, professional ebayers, or plain Greedy Bi(a)tches!
  • I popped into a very small boots earlier, the silver clutch bag former 7 gwp was £1, all trevor sorbie minis were 76-78p and herbal essences reduced from £1.22-£1.46. :)
