Thanks for that.
I think I may pick up the few things that I want, in that case. I guess if they say I can't buy them back, I just get a refund. There's nothing lost, is there?0 -

This is similar to people claiming for babies in the parenting club that they do not have. Its not acceptable neither. People have lost their cards and all their points for less.
Its an abuse of the priveliges that Boots give us, please dont spoil it for extra points or extra discounts. To sign up for the health club you need to give your d.o.b. There is no seperate HC for over 60's it's all the same one.
The extra 10% does not kick in until you reach your 60'th birthday. It's automatic, so unless someone put the wrong birthdate down, it does not happen.

Actually Polls, this can happen by SA error. I was bumped off the HC a while (year or so) back and was advised by CS to ask an instore SA to scan a card to reinstate me. The SA scanned the over 60's side of the card by mistake and I was none the wiser. It wasn't until I looked at a receipt several weeks later that I noticed and asked for it to be corrected.
Not condoning anyone taking advantage just that it's possible to be put on the over 60's register without knowledge!0 -

At this moment in time yes...will harass tin-tin thur/fri to see if he knows more as .com is not his thing, but that is when the big boys have told the little boys to sort it out or hand in their locker keys lol0 -
Evenin all - anyone one on here shop anywhere in Kent apart from Ramsgate and Bluewater, please?
Was wondering whether it would be worth visiting Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks or Tonbridge branches, or anywhere else in that area?
TIA Neffy xx

Just a word of warning (may have been posted before, but a bit pushed for time, so apologies if so!)......
P & P vanity case (cream coloured) contains 250 extra points on No7- valid 01.01.09- 31.03.09
Red Ruby and Millie make up case contains 250 extra points on R&M- valid 01.01.09 - 31.03.09
Soap and Glory Grab Bag/travel essentials contains £2.00 off voucher- valid 01.09.2008 - 31.03.09
and......
Soap and Glory Spa bag (brightly coloured, contains body butter and wash) has a 50p off coupon UNDER THE LID OF THE BODY BUTTER...... coupon expired 30.04.2008  even though bought in THIS sale!
Had a sneaky feeling the P&P set would have something in so performed a careful operation to remove the sticky tape holding the outer card and broke the plastic holdtheziptogethery bit.... good job I did, as the two I've got will be given to Mum and MIL for birthdays after the 31.3.09!
SO..... check your gift packages, use the extra points and don't give the game away as to how much we've saved!
Nighty night!

Tiggerlilly wrote: »Just to play Devils Advocate, is it legal for Boots to now be selling items that were 75% off back at full price, surely they should either completly freeze their website (take no more orders) or remove any items from website that were in the sale. Especially if they continue to sell them instore at the reduced prices, anyone know much about retail law ? Martin perhaps ??
Retail stores can put an item on sale then take it off and sell at full price
Even if a sale sign says when it ends etc
.com is a seperate business and so can sell at different prices to in store. Alot of items are cheaper on .com compared to in store anyway
Sorry if been answered, really skimming before I do my ironing0
