Have just been speaking to them to try and sort my order out that I have been trying to do since 4 this morning :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
As above they say they have suspended the sale on line, so if you order at full price that is what you will pay if anything went through before they did this they will honour it
They say they are not going to put it back on until they are sure it is working, and that is not likely to be before the end of the week
Well Mr B, perhaps doing things backwards was not the best ever customer relations stunt you have ever pulled. The idea is to sort your system out before you put on a sale. Because your I T system is not fit for purpose, thousands of us have wasted hours today thinking we could get items, that we had spent time identifying, then waiting up all night, or hanging round most of today to get the chance to buy them at the advertised price . Its like Harrods starting their new year sale people queueing up all night, and the manager forgetting where he left the keys to the shop. In this climate Boots need our support and our money and a lot of us have spent a great deal with them recently its just not good enough :mad::mad::mad::mad:

From Customer Services
The website will stay at full price until they have sorted it out and nobody knows when that will be.
If you put your order through at full price it will not be honoured.
If you have an order that shows as pending in your account it has not gone through and no payment has been made. It will need to be reordered at a later date and the order number will be cancelled.
The reason that items are missing from your basket is that some lucky people have managed to place an order during the day.
Good luck everyone!!
I phoned CS and got a ref number and they are going to honour it, if not I will just return it unopened.Back on MSE again! to take control of my finances and not let it control me. :T May grocery challenge £41.96/1400 -

You must have got a kind customer services assistant because they won't honour mine, even though it has a reference number.
Good luck to you and I hope that it all goes through ok.0 -

My 2 and a half year old daughter is very upset after leaving her favourite toy on a bus.
I am trying to track down an identical toy and would like to enlist your help.
I bought it in a gift set at Easter in Boots.
It was an Easter egg hunt set. There was a dark wicker basket with a handle, the basket was about a foot long,it had 4 small signs that said "The Easter Bunny Went This Way".
A few small foil-covered eggs and
A light brown cloth bunny toy about 7 inches high..which is very much missed by my little girl.
If anyone has one of these bunny rabbits,I would buy it from you, hell,I would walk over broken glass to replace it.
If anyone has one of these,or knows where i could get one, please, please let me know
Have you looked on Ebay? You find can find most things there. Good luck!
I had booked a taxi for 8:05am to get me into town ready for doors to open but typical the taxi was stuck in traffic and turned up 25 mins late!!! I was so angry! Got there at 8:40am, I only had 5 mins before starting work but thought no I must go to Boots. I was the only customer in store and they still had the 50% off signs outside/inside. I was going to take items for price check anyway but a member of staff was already checking the No 7 Protect & perfect set
1 got 2 x No 7 Protect & perfect sets, 1 x John Freida blonde set and 1 x Toni &
Guy set (used my points)
Pleased with my purchases and I can relax now. I was so stressed due to stupid late
taxi!
When I popped in for a nosey at lunch there wasn't an awful lot left apart from the smaller items and cards/wrapping paper. All the No 7 Protect & perfect sets and John Freida blonde sets were gone (there were lots in the morning).
This was in Surrey.
Taken me ages to read all the posts and got a stiff wrist from using my mouse! Thanks for posting your bargains and photos. :T I love reading about other peoples bargains and I love seeing photos!

I used the 250 pointer from the No.7 Gold bag GWP with a blinkie on reduced No.7 today & it was ok but only got a total of 250 pts, none for the £2.95 that was left to pay. HTH0 -

Have you tried phoning the bus company? Usually other people don't "remove" well loved toys. One of my DGDs left a teddy on a bus, and though it was a bit of a rigmarole, we did get it back from Lost Property.
As you say about walking over broken glass (sorry, that did make me laugh!), two buses and the tube (changing 3 times), was a small price to pay!!! HTH

I kind of knew I'd have to spread myself about a bit this morning to get everything I wanted.
ie no hair sets at all in Vic centre, but loads of fragrance sets etc.
found one hair set I was after in the next one, Broadmarsh (Trevor Sorbie). There were loads of the John Frieda blonde one there, but no brunette or frizz-ease. The last Boots I went to had loads of the John Frieda brunette though - and I had just enough points to cover it too :j !
Like others, I also saw loads of shoppers with trolley upon trolley full of sale stuff, especially in the first store of the morning.0
