two days ago I ordered a parcel collection and delivery through collectmyparcel.com. I used DHL 48 hour at home with £250 insurance. The parcel weighed 8kg and was large ie a bike frameset in a box and in another outer box. I had my fingers crossed as this was the cheapest I could find anywhere

Collection went smoothly and already the parcel is delivered and signed for. Absolutely brilliant service and only cost £15.50

I was nervous re dhl bit I needn`t have been
• Hi,

First Post but been reading this thread for a while after Freightsearch.com lost their rates (which was a damn shame as it was really easy and reliable and they where decent guys to boot).

Got a call from a guy named Anish Aggarwal yesterday offering rates of £4.99 + VAT for any parcel to the UK under 30kg Volumetric Weight and under 195cms in length using a sub acccount through Business Post.

Anybody else got a call from him, or is anybody else using this service? this is the message he sent with the details:

============================================

It was good to speak with you today.

I have included a summary of our conversation below, and the rates we are able to offer you:

Summary of UK Account Rates - Through Businesspost (As A Sub-Account)
•
• Parcels less than 30kg with volumetric weight of less than 30kg - £4.99+VAT per parcel, on a guaranteed next working day service within mainland UK through businesspost.
• Guaranteed next working day service within mainland UK, full tracking up front
• Parcels over 30kg - simply add 30p per kg
• Price is based on higher of actual or volumetric weight (vol weight is calculated by dividing by 6000 as discussed)
• Your own account number directly with the carrier, as well as all relevant telephone numbers etc
• Software: We will also set you up with your own software/bookings and labelling system - you are in full control
• Maximum length of parcels = 195cm
• Fuel surcharge: reduced to 2%
• Payment method under this structure: Fortnightly invoicing, payment within 7 days.
• Exactly the same as you having your own account directly with the carrier, except you are added on as a 'sub-account' to our consolidated preferential rates, hence obtain cheaper rates than going direct. The only difference is that we invoice you instead of the carrier.
If you are happy with the above, please simply let us know and we will send you a contract for your review/signature. To do this, we will need your full trading address, full collection address (ie. where all your collections will happen from) and your contact tel no. Once we receive a signed copy of your contract back from you, we will initiate the process of setting up your sub-account with businesspost, which takes around 3-5 working days. We will then arrange a time for a mutual Couriers Express/ Businesspost representative to come and see you to implement the software and show you the entire bookings process in person.

If you have any problems or queries, please let me know.

Kind Regards

Anish

==========================================

What are peoples thoughts on this?

Kind Regards
Steven

Anyone know how I can track a pallet sent through freightsearch I have the NVE/SSCC barcode which the driver gave me but no other details.
• I need to send a parcel from Leicester to India weighing 900g(1.9lbs), What is best and cheap courier service to send it? Because the value of the parcel itself is around £50-£60.

Hi,
Where has everyone gone? It's taken more than a month to fill this page of the Thread (nomally 7 pages are filled every month). And, there appeares to have been only one question replied to, in the last month.

Armitage and his mates away???

Suppose it's a bit pointless asking any questions at the moment then!
