I'm actually quite suprised that ParcelMonkey isn't listed on the Courier article as it's £1 cheaper (£2 cheaper through cashback), than Parcels2Go

Anyone had any experience getting their money back from interparcel?

I booked 3 shipments, they took payment for 4 out of my account.

They are really dragging their heels over it-13 days since I asked for my money back and still I'm having to chase them about it. Was always happy to use them before, but now something's gone wrong, you really see how good a company is.

I'm looking to send some stuff back to Australia. We are moving back there, but don't have much to send, so I'm wondering if courier will be cheaper than a shipping company.

Probably 4 small boxes (25x30x20) weighing 4-7kgs each.
(Or should I get bigger boxes and pack more into each one - reducing the number of boxes?)

Definately want door to door and want to try to avoid/minimise customs charges.

    Thanks for any help/advice.

Finally. 16 days, 4 emails (including a bank account screen dump), 1 phone call later, I get a refund of the money that was wrongly taken from my account. I think Interparcel should be quicker sorting their mistakes and I certainly shouldn't need to chase so much to get a refund.

It's as much as a delivery driver should safely be able to lift unaided.

I got a parcel 110*55*20cms and approx 7kg and its coming up as £9 something.

    Kerfrto,

What bad reports on here are you thinking of please?

I remember one person saying they had a bad experience and there was a bit of spin from the MD in order to drum up business but thats all I think.
Yep thats the one, especially when there was apparent spamming by the MD. Is this not correct and am I shooting myself in the foot?

  • Just been looking at this thread as I need to return some goods cheaply. Anyone concerned with the T&Cs for Parcel Monkey regards claims for losses - quote:

What is the time scale to submit any claims for loss/damage?

Claims must be in the Parcel Monkey office within 24 hours from the date of delivery. Any claims for loss will require written confirmation from the receiving customer that they have not received the item. If this is not submitted with the claim; the claim will be refused.

.......that would take some organisation - within 24 hours!!!!!
