    Hello all,

I am looking into a new venture along these lines due to some excellent rates I currently obtain with DHL through the company I work for.

Do you think I would get much business if I offered the following services:
    DHL 24hr service for £8.69 +VAT Total £9.99
DHL next day by 10 for £18.69+VAT Total £21.50
DHL next day by 12 for £11.74+VAT Total £13.50

I had a quick look around the net and the above rates look competitive, if anyone can find anything cheaper please let me know.

Thanks in advance for any constructive comments.

    Hi

These are the rates your company currently get? Is that providing they are collected from your address or anywhere in the UK? Also what's the maximum volume allowed?

tbh I'd just use saletrack and pay no more than £5.75.

...and if you send enough pay £4.

They don't seem too keen on making it easy to use their service. Do you have to use them for a substantial number of parcels to make it worthwhile?

Seem a bit of an odd operation. No phone number on the website, I filled in their web form early this morning but haven't heard from them - I'd have thought in the present climate they would be eager for new business

They don't do any marketing because everyone in the know uses them, so they just rely on word of mouth.

I'd be interested in the 24 hour service if

    a) It was up to 31kg
    b) Additional parcels going to the same address were c £2.50

It would be for up to 31kg but unfortunately it would be the same price per parcel.

Nah the rates my company currently get are significantly better than the rates I have quoted on here, hence me considering setting up to make some money!!!

The rates would be for collection from any Mainland UK address, max volume approx. 0.2 cubic m.

Is Saletrack part of DHL or are they just using DHL??

Also how do you see their list of rates as I cant seem to find them on their website??

    Thanks

    Standard Next Day £5.78
    Economy 2/3 Day £5.78
Home Del.2/3 day By DHL £5.78
    Home Del.Next Working Day £6.30

    all before tax.

    they just use DHL.

tbh i used them earlier in the year and had all sorts of trouble, since then i only use them fleetingly and have had no more problems at all.

    Is this for multiple parcels?

Would it apply for about six a month?
