Brill piccie BTW, i have added to my collection and may superimpose over Mr.B at some point in the future.
Ooo, Olive is a star- can i have autograph please:D
Anyone seen Ampersand lately? I miss her posts.:o
Good luck with all that you have to do for the plays Olive, I know how hard it can be and also time consuming too!
Ampersand is away at the moment, I think in France, but I'm guessing she'll be back in the next month or so. She did ring and leave me a message with DS to say she wasn't sure when she would be home - that was a couple of months ago. I have been texting her with updates on I-T and the texts have been delivered so she's still in the land of the living :rotfl::rotfl:
Olive, have you met the new girl who is starting at work? Will she fit in with the toddlers? Is she likely to give FF as good she gets?Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
I have great hopes for the new bloke (said that 18 months ago about the last one.......) but although he will be the youngest in the office he is married with children I'm hoping that will give him the maturity to deal with FK the biggest toddler in the playpen. She is a bully really, but if he's good at his (technical) job she should find it harder to bully him. (She can't bully me much, cos she knows naff all about my job :rotfl:though she still finds fault )
I need all the time consuming stuff I can find at the moment as I'm trying out a juice diet over the next few days(all those apples will be used :money:)

Cheers MOT, hope her visit to France is proving a bit better for her. How's I-T today?
Olive you will be full of pectin, with all those apples inside you. Popeye will think you are delicious preserve ( added that bit to keep his spirits up);):D
I've seen the beans Wol:D:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
so this morning I have had a juice containing apples/pineapple/cucumber/avocado/wheat grass
it was very green but tasted OK
And I'm preparing a list of tasks for the next few days so that I can be distracted. The trouble with diets I find is that they make you obsessed with food -plus the shopping/preparation/eating/clearing up all take time so there's more time free for fretting about being on a diet0 -
_pale__pale__pale_ what on earth does it taste like???:grouphug:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Being too tight, I had photocopied pages from the book
and then didn't have some of the quantities. So I've accidently upped the apple part of it, and actually it tastes OK.......
Talking of MS stuff, WHY do people glue money to the pavement? What possible pleasure do they get from watching MS-ers try and pick it up0 -
I need to detox too, OO, and had provisionally marked in 1st September as my start date.
Thing is though, that now 1st September is "next week", I am not so enthusiasticSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
It is a detox diet Hypno, and apparently Katie Price lost 2 stone in 3 months on a similar one. (This was post baby 1, though I had no trouble losing weight when I was at that stage.......)
It is the dullest of dulls, and I have a stonking headache
But I have glossed 4 door frames in the hall (only 7 more to go - then do it all again with 2nd coat)
Cleaned the cooker - but not the oven
And I'm keeping busy.
On the money front:
1) yesterday was not only a NSD (on this diet?) but I found 50p in the machine. :j These have been less common as people have got used to the new machine and remember to take their change.
2) Had a credit card bill with a balance cf of £21.17 on it. And a note saying "If yu do not pay off the full amount outstanding" etc etc. Well I don't remember Popeye using this card (it's his) and I certainly didn't get a statement last month. So I moaned and complained all morning. When I Skyped Popeye I read the statement to him.....the balance is a credit!
3) Quidco is showing a balance of £17. which I should receive in the next couple of weeks.
4) I failed to buy 3 things this week on e-bay, by making it a rule not to chase things. How can a used pair of jeans go for 65% of the cost of a new pair? But I did miss a bargain - unless the winner was prepared to go very much higher?
5) Must update signature now that mortgage has gone out and our monies have gone in. Debt clearing looking slow but steady.0 -
LOL at the credit balance! And I think you did right on the jeans, good for you for sticking to the limit. I was pleased with myself today - there was a nice little autumn cardi in Primark, and I'm desperately short of something like that, and it had lovely roomy sleeves, but the body was as skimpy *around* as Primark always is, I made myself walk away. In addition to the slave labour and whatnot - I might well start knitting my own again ....
With you mentioning your sig, I just checked out those figures - wow, they're *very* impressive, Olive, definitely light at the end of the tunnel.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
So......am I reading this right.
On this diet you lose 2 stones and your doors get painted
