I think Linda has a whip cracking smilie!
Hope DD charges not too harsh, you can always plead with them. They may give in and you will never know if you don't try.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

Morning :hello:
I'm not being very good at keeping my diary up at the moment! But we've been busy at work and I've been kn*ckered in the evening
On the MS front:- I've still no idea how much Nationwide are going to charge for 2 bounced DD's, but the council have merely rescheduled our missing payment for February when we usually have a payment free month and the pension payment went out again (without bouncing this time :rolleyes:). So that's OK.
- We now no longer have the income from the lodger _pale_. But she will mind the cat when I'm away. I'm going to miss that money......
but not the extra work/loss of privacy.
- Last night I paid off the Crapital One debt :j:j:beer: The end of the interest free period came and the debt has been paid :j- I love it when a plan comes together :rotfl:(Do not mention the new 0% debt :silenced: that covered the shortfall
)
- I got £1.05 from the vending machine yesterday :j:D I feel sorry for those people who mistakenly leave their change in the machine, but I'm astounded that they keep on doing it
To say I am peed off is putting it mildly. I feel used and abused :mad: But it needs his Dad to say something, and he is 6,000 miles away with only sporadic e-mail contact, and a desire not to hurt and offend.0 -
Oh Olive!!!! Why does it need Popeye to do it? Mind you, I wouldn't like to say something myself. I'm not surprised you feel used and abused.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

DS1 is step-son really........
and I'm a coward
I was thinking of writing him an e-mail, I haven't really corresponded with him on this trip - When he departed I was pretty angry at the way he left Popeye to deal with the car, and the way he left his leaving party without a thank-you or an iota of tidying up and then forgot my birthday.......
But I'm almost afraid to put it down in writing in case I say something I will regret.
I'm kinda relying on the general disapproval within the family to permeate his conscience. Popeye did tackle him about his non appreciation of the party we laid on for him and I got a thank-you card (it arrived on my birthday :rolleyes:) and I did send an e-mail castigating him for risking his and his gf's life in an unsafe car.
But that boy has always come up smelling of roses, Popeye did rescue him with the car (muggins here too) everybody who came to the party thought he was a wonderful host :rolleyes: the grandparents who are currently cross with him, will be grateful when he deigns to visit them and 3 months without the gf is a long stretch for a 22 year oldSo who am I to complain that he doesn't want to hang around with a boring, moaning and tight fisted whinger like me?
