On serious money saving notes, as befits my diary :o

    Today I are mostly:
    • doing a couple of mystery shops (enquiring after foreign money, and choosing hand cream :j)
    • Have deposited £5, so I can remove £10 from TAB now that they don't give you money for free. I'll now spend my scratchcard winnings on Bingo  and hope for a bigger one.;) - a bigger WIN that is.
    • menu plan & shop accordingly.
    • tidy and scrub my house - Mother in Law is staying overnight before we both fly out to Africa next week :eek::eek: She'll [STRIKE]think[/STRIKE] spot that I'm such a !!!!!! :rotfl:
    • tonight I'm off to see a local AmDram production - a musical with which I'm not familiar and I'd forgotten I'd booked- it should be fun.
    Have fun :D

Caught up with your thread at 4am - was laughing so much that I wore myself out and had to go back to bed before I could reply :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Although how I could have laughed quietly without waking the household I don't know! Oh, yes I do - the powers that be have decided that nightime is the best time to take down a large concrete footbridge over the main road into town :eek: and as we live 2minutes walk from said bridge - well.............you can guess the rest! What a bloomin' racket!! Started at 7pm last night and is still going on now  I believe it will be the same again tonight and tomorrow night.............

You know those jackhammers you see bouncing off pavements - the ones with a very strong worker trying to control it? Well, imagine that sound but 100 times louder - that is what we have had to contend with all night! The twins sleep at the front of the house and had to keep their (double glazed) windows closed all night, but I had to have mine open which was sort of ok as I sleep at the back.

I-T has appt with Consultant in London on Monday at 3.50pm, when they will tell him what they will be doing for him - they re-tested all his biopsies so whether the news is any different we don't know .

Have a good weekend everyone and Olive, I hope you enjoy the musical tonight, which one is it?

British Rail did something similar here last year MOT. Decided that all the trees on the banking at the side of the railway line ( had been there for over 100 years) could be cut down. They did this at night and kept everyone awake, Oh and they left all the logs piled at the side and guess what? They were a hazard too..only a more real one that a stray leaf blowing on the line. The place looks desolate and the trees at least afforded a bit of buffering from the noise and sheilded an unsightly railway track. Can totally sympathise with you.

Hope IT is ok and you both get a respite from all the worry. You must be made of stern stuff. x
