I have NEVER used fake eyelashes - i would be too terrified that half way through the evening one had slipped onto my forehead or something!

It's at times like these I most miss Popeye:o

(not just for helping with these eyelashes.......) but I don't like parties as much on my own.

*noodles, sesame oil, garlic, chilli and peanut butter mmmmmmmmm not calorific at all

God that sounds nice. I'm gonna make it tomorrow - what quantities of each do you use? Do you add chicken, veg or anything? Crunchy or smooth p butter? I'm having vindaloo curry that's been sat in slow cooker all day and smells fab.

PS good luck with new debt challenge. Must admit I like idea of trying out Africa - could you get work visa as popeye is already working there?

PPS good luck with writing the play too :T

How was your party Olive? Hope you enjoyed yourself.

I've not had a very good weekend MSE wise - ended up going out today and buying a new vacuum cleaner. I have to say that the old one was at least 7 years old and on its last legs - it wasn't "sucking" at all:eek: It was £85 off so too good a chance to miss. Also I don't have to pay council tax next month so I will use that money to pay for the hoover. At least I will have a lovely clean house now.:D

OOOOh I'd forgotten the 2 months with no Council Tax! :j :j Thanks for the reminder Mrs Porridge.

And a hoover that doesn't work is a problem?

Well a busy busy weekend, at the end of a working week, I'm shattered, and I missed having a lie in.

Friday night the potential lodger came round. She's an old friend who for complicated family reasons is now homeless. We chatted, caught up, cried etc until 3am  Other friends say she should get her own place, but her income is minute. We've said stay as long/short as you like, get sorted and make decisions later. I think she will move in, and I have no idea what to charge her.

The cat woke us at 8am  and I ran around like a blue-wotsitted fly ALL day.

The party was great fun, lots of friends who nearly fainted at my sheer glamour:rotfl: (I live in jeans....) and my lashes stayed in place until I peeled them off at 1am when I got home. AND I stayed in budget, in fact coming home with 50p of my fiver left.:D

Today I set off for my parents who live in Kent at 8 am  (all right, 8.30.....:o but I'd intended to leave earlier) and I saved £1 on the round trip by buying my Dartford crossings in advance.:money: The aged P's wanted separate outings  . So I took him to Lidl (he paid for my shopping :D ) and to buy his freeview box. After lunch I took her to M&S for some clothes and then to Lakeland.......where she bought me a Remoska, but I'm going to send them a cheque for it, she was being mischievous. She wanted to buy a waffle iron ( do waffles need ironing?) and there wasn't one in their current range so she was thwarted in her spending. She'd used her Remoska at lunchtime and I'd admired it, so she sneakily bought me one.

I'm home now and ready for bed :o Not a very MSE weekend, not one of my challenges started. :o:o

Tomorrow is another day, and I'll start again.
Work all day, then taking DS2 back to uni in the evening. Probably won't even make the gym. :o

    :T

3tbsp s'flower oil, 2 tbsp sesame oil, 1 crushed clove of garlic, 1 tbsp smooth p'nut butter, 1 small chilli finely chopped,4 tbsp light soy sauce,1 tbsp lime juice. 4tbsp chopped coriander.
stirred into 2 pkts of cooked medium egg noodles.

I had to look the recipe up as I've done it from memory for so long. :rotfl:
We never bother with the coriander, the lime juice is usually lemon and the chilli dried. Dark soy sauce changes it to a brown dish ;) and I quite like it with crunchy p'nut butter.

And I love curry done in the slow cooker....mmmmmmmmm

I like the sound of the noodles, I shall try them out soon too - DS claims he hates peanut butter but likes satay sauce so he'll be trying them!
