Morning All :hello:
Nice to have you on board Flying Friesan, I have a real love of Cows, though my knowledge is limited to what The Archers teach me, and what I glean on the "What small DFW" thread each day. :rotfl:
It is very cold here isn't it? Only 4 days ago I was sheltering from a 30 degree heat :rotfl: Landing to snow on Monday was a shock, though at least I like snow, those passengers in cropped trousers and flip flops must have regretted their choice, even though they'd looked cool 11 hours previously:rotfl:
Today I'm going to post (finally) the letter cancelling my accouint with A&L, and get Popeyes NI number and post the 11CTC form to HMRC (all these abbreviations :rotfl: ) in the vain hope of a Child Tax credit.
Tonight I need to clean the house, and I *ought* to put stuff in the loft, but it is desperately cold up there......
Already I've done the bathroom. But our potential lodger is coming tomoroow and I don't want her to [STRIKE]think[/STRIKE] recognise me as a !!!!!!.0 -
Hiya,
Great new diary - too many resolutions this year for me though!!
I know this sounds cheeky - and I really don't mean it to - but I'm intrigued by what Popeye does job wise in Africa. I love the idea of moving abroad with work.
Sorry, I don't mean to be nosey.mrs tooti-frooti0 -
Gooooooooooooood Luck with your diary OliveOyl. I will be reading with interest and hey I am nosy too and want to know if Popeye is a secret agent or something£2 savers club 2025 #40

Popeye loves his nickname on here, and he does believe he is Gene Hackman.
But NO, if DD (his step-DD) saw this she'd :rotfl:
We tease him for being an anorak. He likes real ale and trains, and would wear crimpelene'n'cardigans if that was in the cupboard (I ensure that most of his nasty stuff doesn't see light of day) But he's an engineer, with pretty useful and exclusive experience. When he comes back there'll always be work for him, but he's now at the point where he would pick his projects.0 -
Wow, people usually go to Saudi or US etc don't they. You don't hear (or more to the point, I don't hear) of people going working in Africa.
Sounds brill, and especially if he's got to the point of pick and choose now, thats even better!!
Hope you didn't think I was being too nosey, I'm just overly interested!!mrs tooti-frooti0 -
I don't mind you being nosey - though your imagination is probably much more interesting than real life :rotfl:
Though I worry (a bit) that I'm hugely recognisable from my postings, and I'm ALWAYS sending people to this site. I've stopped posting the negative remarks about people (eg calling someone Frosty Knickers on my last diary) just in case they read here.......

I probably give a lot away as well..it is because we are all a nosy, friendly bunch.
If my MIL ever read what i sometimes refer to her as...well i would be in deep doo doo.:rotfl:
You might be thinking the same about Mr.B, but i always am consistent with him:cool: :rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
