    Well, what an evening!

DD stayed at her friend's overnight and DS went to Youth Club, so MOT had a nice quiet evening until I went to DS up at 10pm..................he had hurt his hand at YC by puncing a punch bag with no glove on and so to the hospital we had to go. Arrived at 10.20pm and we have juuuust got home . He was seen by a nurse who sent him for xray then back to see the nurse again to be told he has sprained his hand and needs to wear a support for a few days and no PE for a week.

Come Feb 5th we will not have an A & E here and will have to go to Watford which is 20 mins away providing there is no traffic, and if Watford are playing at home........well, you'd probably need to get there by helicopter!!!

Hope you are all having a nice sleep....zzzzzzzzzzzzz

    Morning, just up!

DS is ok, the wrist support seems to be helping - he's just managed to pick the cat up anyway! Its the same wrist he broke badly a couple of years ago so I really couldn't take any chances, but wish that he had rung me when he'd done it (8pm) and not left it til I picked him up cos then I would have been in bed earlier .

Coming over to your neck of the woods today Olive, hope you are getting well with your lodger,

    Love MOT xx

  • Sorry to hear that MOT hope he and you are both ok.

Morning Olive...well is just nudging afternoon. Hope as MOT says the lodger is working out ok.

I'll say 'Morning', too, even though it's mid-arvo.
Was up early and must remind myself to tune in for Garrison Keillor at 17h on DAB R7.
Made 2 loaves of yummy nutty/seedy bread, then had A asking about making pavlova. I had rung as flash floods are raging there and I could hear the ruisseau, suddenly a.k.a. la tempête, booming and crashing below the terrasse.
-to which mine own excitement was the Pyrex bowl, over the large pan of boiling water, suddenly exploding as I made lemon curd therein. It made one mighty BANG! and glass flew everywhere.
Had just spent over an hour zesting and juicing a dozen lemons with care too.....grrrr:mad:   . At least I hadn't added the 9 eggs brought back from A's girls and this mix is now covered till next attempt plus tard. Shall check out Mr T for reductions on lemons.
Bit burnt up left wrist and some lethal long curved shards actually buried themselves around tummy, in jumper - the careful, total search for every bit of glass(I will have missed at least one bit; 'twas ever thus)has been a nightmare.
A says he had the same thing happen once when he placed a cleaned Pyrex bowl in the dish drainer.
I thought Pyrex was nigh indestructible.

Have a nice flopsy lazy day today OO, everyone, or not, as you need.
Hope Adam's wrist is not too painful today, mot.

Yep, good luck from me too - she's an old friend, yes? Even so, it can be tough. Best of British.

d'accord bob - I find Un-reason truly terrifiying, because there is no way through.
