Gulp :o Does that mean I have been told off and should do some e-baying tomorrow?......

    Et oui!

You don't have to have a blue rinse, look at Tina Turner, one of my favourite pensioners :D

No, but that's avatar me sitting on a blue trouserly knee chez moi. I'm delighted they are living here...a beautiful pale green, then gold young 'un last Spring.

It's a beautiful day today as well, but I have just woken again - catching up after the 22 hour drive, with trailer and constantly falling off light bar, through cack weather. R4 play just ended, so back to DAB R7 or else Oz tennis if R5 sports is on.
I am in love with my DAB radio.

Yes, it was a Saturday and went to an antieeksy wotnot at Puy L'!vêque, where they did a marvellous lunch at which we became a happy round table of 6, including antiquaires, mutuallyrecognised from other fairs/brocantes and a former French rugby international, whose All Black shirt I had spotted and commented on.(A former AB captain, Brian Lochore, is a cousin at a remove or three) It was a lovely chance day and weather as here today - beautiful. We watched 2 kingfishers dart across the Lot.

We were indoors though - it was still chill and various proud wines of the Lot/Cahors came in medalled presentation bottles, especially once they learned of mon anniversaire.
These are local small town or village organisations b!n!voles, who put on excellent lunches at such functions as fundraisers - this one was E13.50 for a Welcome Cup of the young stuff just beginning from last vendange, a superb warm prawn and avocado salad, then thick roast veal rounds and m!daillons with pommes forestières and the ubiquitous haricots verts, a rich cheese board, then a gorgeous poires charlotte tatin, lovely choccies and caf!,including vin au choix, with ever-replenished bread, in this case a particularly good pain de campagne, finally several digestifs, all local(one brought back by someone who nipped home for one his papa does). It was indeed a case of 'bien mang!, bien bu' and all the more so for being a day that, unplanned, took on its own memorable shape.

It comes to table in bottles anyway, at such events, as people truly share real thoughts, knowledge and unprecious talk about it, which is a privilege happened upon often. It's all a bonus.

Two years back, I gave A a bag of 40 superbounce balls, to be thrown away in a manner of his choosing when the day came.
In fact, we walked around a frozen Loch Rannoch and watched birds skidding as they landed on ice.

Since then, I've decreed he must hurl one away every 9 days or so - log the how, when, where to look back on.

I, the Ever Nasty Reminder, will be On Duty for this.

Oh, the day is dying and I've done little but fiddle about here and doze and listen to radio. I don't care. I don't care. Tra la la.

Shall go out to Mr T later.
