Ebay Postage Receipts and Rules?

Does anyone know the rules regards these proof of receipts that you get from PO when you send a parcel.
Who's responsiblity is it to chase the post office up for refund?
Basically I was send a dress at the end of Dece and have not received it yet. I have messgaed her to ask if she has posted it. Yes she said. I will send you the receipt
Should I have to chase up the post office now. I'd have thought this was her job.
She refunds me and then the post office refund her.
Am i wrong? Does Ebay have any rules on this?

No your not wrong. It is up to the seller to refund you and then claim via the post office. The shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.:TBig thanks to all competition posters:T0

I've never had a problem before thankyou. I thought that must be how it worked.
What should I message back and say? You would have thought she would have known being a power seller.0 -
hi
Thankyou for offering to send me the proof of postage, but i would prefer a refund or replacement item.
I feel that it would be better if you claim for the lost parcel from Royal Mail as you have all the information needed.
I look forward to your reply
thank you0 -
Sellers responsibility to refund you and make the claim.
Any hassle, just raise a claim via Paypal, who will find in your favour unless it is "tracked" mail.0 -
If you didn't post it, you have no contract with the post office, they shouldn't even talk to you about somebody elses mail. Our's won't.
It's down to the seller to chase.0 -
She is now saying that normally she wont claim that the customer does it, but she will make an exception for me.
But I have to wait for a refund until she has been paid by Royal Mail.
Is this right?0 -
No it isn't, your refund is not dependent on the sellers refund from RM.
Go back and explain that you are happy to wait another few days but then you will expect a refund, don't threaten anything. if you don't get a refund in a reasonable time frame slam in a paypal chargeback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. What do you deem a reasonable time frame? I said in the last message to her that I'd wait until the end of the week. Thats a total of 13 days since I paid.
How long is reasonale to wait for a refund?0 -
It is really up to you but as a buyer I would get itchy after about 10 days but would be looking for a refund in my second and a bit week, so around 15 days.
AS a seller I would hope my buyers waited into their third week, again 15 days or so before asking for a refund.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks very much. I'll ask her again.
If she still want me to wait until she has been refund from Royal Mail, what do I do?0
