They keep ringing my husband - even though we have wrote to them and asked them not to... and are usually very rude to me when I tell them I won't pass on their message... I have tried to talk to them they just cut me off ...lol
However they called and left a message on the answer phone the other day... and then didn't put their phone down....
It recorded them talking about someone elses case and swearing and calling them names etc.
I am about to write to them once again... and send it by recorded delivery.. they swear they havn't receieved the letters but we have the receipts... a copy will be sent to Barclay card too...
Our other creditors have been helpful eventually but they are real b**s**ds ... however we will not let them get us down...
best wishes

Doesn't that just go to show the true colours of these 'low-life' bullies. :mad:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Charming. Did you keep the recording by any chance? As evidence of the sort of behaviour you have to endure. Since you did not try to record them, the usual rules may not apply. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Well Mr Cragg for your information, I settled a debt directly with Barclays some 4 months ago! because of Barclays !!!! up and automated system this was given wrongly to RMA. It's not so much the job your people do it's the way they do it. I have no debt, but because of RMA employees innept practises i get hounded over the phone. I received nothing in writing from these idiots and under no circumstances will provide proof to them, why should i? In my case the last call i had from them i just said take me to court and well see who's red faced when i turn up with written proof from Barclays that i have no debt!!! that's if these idiots really go that far.0

Had a call from RMA this afternoon. I don't normally answer them but thought I would today. They have now cottoned on that I have been making nominal payments by standing order to the Credit Card (I have been making these payments, £1.00 per month for about a year). The guy wanted to know why I couldn't pay more, and started on about remortgaging or selling my house to raise the funds to pay my debts. I told him that I was doing everything that I feasibly could to sort out my finances. He then proceeded to "advise" me that, the CC company could go to court and put a charge on my house!! Which I disputed but he was adamant that this was the case. Is this true?0

So today I got a post card type thing through the door saying that someone from RMA was coming to visit on Wednesday between 8am & 8pm. I had absolutely no idea what RMA was, so I googled it. It turns out that this is in reference to the letter I recieved from someone on friday saying that they had been contacted by Virginmoney aka MBNA to collect the £20.00 which my minimum payment was short by last month.
Hmmm, haven't really given me much of an opportunity to pay it! The hilarious thing is that as soon as I discovered what this was about (& after my bf had calmed me down because I thought that this meant that the bailiffs were coming to the house!), I logged into my Virginmoney account to discover that I was only £4.09 over my £1000.00 credit card limit & that was obviously because they have charged me for not making the minimum payment etc.
My question is why did MBNA have to resort to a DCA for £24.09? Also, can someone please explain to me why my minimum payments for them are £50.00 when it is only £15.00 for my Natwest visa which has a limit of £650.00, so not a massive difference?0 -
