    Afternoon peeps

BRRR!!! very cold here today, i`ve no idea of the exact temperature but it must be really low.
I woke early and had a quick cuppa before taking the houndies out for their early walk. Not too many peeps out this morning though but i was a bit earlier than usual. DH bought me some socks to keep my feet warm and i must say that i don`t want to take them off, they are pure merino wool and feel gorgeous. I wasn`t sure if i`d like them or not as they are long socks and felt a bit strange at first but OMG they are brill! I usually wear two pairs of socks when i walk the monsters but now i only need the one! Must get some more.

I`ve managed to get quite a bit done this morning so quite pleased with myself, the dw has been emptied and some more pots washed, i`ve hung all the washing up on the airers and done every last bit of ironing :D i don`t iron much but when i do i like to get it all out of the way at once.

The kitchen smells lovely as i`ve made a big pan of lentil and bacon soup, some bread rolls and i`ve also bottled a demijohn of wine - i`ve more pots to wash now and another demijohn to soak. When i`ve sorted those i`m going to have a swish around the bathroom and main bedroom and vacuum upstairs. Still plenty to be getting on with

Aussie - Glad to hear that Benny is back home with you, sending big ((((HUGS)))) for him.

Pink - ((((HUGS)))) for Tilly too, it`s nice to hear that she is doing well. We have a doggie that "leaks" every now and again and i thoroughly agree that whilst it`s only us thats inconvenienced it`s fine.

Cheapskate - Sorry to hear your sad news, nice to see you back!

Donny_gal - Hope that you get the blood pressure sorted out soon, i`d be fuming!

Right i`m off to get the microfibres out.
    Catch up later everyone.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Afternoon everyone

Its more like the North Pole than Brum today brrrrr, just saw the lady from down the road taking her dog for a walk, both of them complete with coats and hats, they walked half way past our drive, and he sat down and refused to move, until she took him back home :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

SC has beef stew bubbling away nicely, just whats needed this weather.
Went to mums this morning to do some housework for her and take the shopping over, I was shivering while I was driving along, OH had spent half an hour warming the cars up and scrapping them off, and mine was still cold.
It's rather an ancient old VW Polo, but it still goes and while it does I will keep it. DS2 is a VW specialist and has his own business so he maintains it for me, I am so lucky.

Off to hospital now with OH he has to have his ear checked as he has a perforation.
He is giving me that LOOK
    back later

  • hello all (posted this on flythread first by accident hope it gives someone a laugh anyway!!)

well i am at home on a study doing my uni work (doing a masters) tried to do some at work yesterday but people talk at you, phone rings etc etc.

anyway got a fair bit done but had enough now, heads hurts and have a nasty cough pretty sure its a chest infection (prone to them) but waiting few days to see if i can shift it with out need for gp and antibitics.

managed not to put heating on today til midday and when turned thermostat it clicked on at 9 degrees!!! didnt feel that cold but feels nicer now its on 15 degrees!!

have cleaned out the rabbits very quickly one of them keeps digging at the ice on grass think he is confused as to where the grass is, other one keeps sitting at door like a dog to come in.

gave away some more clothes on freecycle today so happy about that

and our wii and wii fit came today husband will be pleased we wanted one but couldnt justify buying one so we did some temp work for 3 weeks for the council (few eves and 2 weekends) and got paid £490 after tax in total so we had a cheap weekend away (hotel deal) and brought the wii and all the gadgets we needed for £330.

sorry for rambling on heres hoping for a temp above freezing tonight
