yep they return you any balancce above £5, but in my case I was not claiming my balance, They just withdraw the bonus which I got by refering to a friend, My friend is still their customer, so there is no point of withdrawing that bonus from me.

I emailed them to cancel the two cards I ordered before activating them after I realized the t+c's.

I should have known that the offer was too good to be true.

They quickly got back to me and cancelled asking me to return the cards to them in the original envelopes as ''return to sender''.

I have NOT asked for my £2 back - put that down to experience.

I hope that is it - if I have any other probs I will let you know.

Now, I really need to get this straight before I cancel the two sims that I have just ordered.
If I cancel them before I use up the free 20.00 credit I have been given, do they charge me for the £'s I've used in calls (as it was a free offer and I have no intention of staying with them). Or do I cancel and that's that and obviously lose any outstanding credits on the cards?

I have just looked on the terms and conditions of easymobile. There is no mention of having to pay the free airtime (you get at the start of your agreement) back.It just says that they will not refund you that money if you leave.I might phone their cs to clarify this!..........Neil

The final assessment of your account will be made within the next 20 days. The reason for this delay is to ensure that the account has been updated with all the Voice Calls made and Text Messages sent.

When we have made the final assessment any amount in excess of £5 will be transferred to the Bank Account Numbers that you have provided to us on the website when you requested to close the account. Please make sure that you have informed us of the correct bank details. If there are any changes, you can correct these within the next 20 days by accessing your account. If there is a refund to be made, you can expect to receive the amount within the next 30 days.

As far as I am concerned Easy Mobile just stinks and I for one wish I had not heard about them and will stay with my original mobile service provider who gives me a far better service altogether than this, so let me know how you get on please? good luck:mad:

having just rang the easymobile CS they confirmed if i cancelled i would lose the any bonus credit that is remaining. (which is fair enough) and no £5 charge is added.
They explained any normal(non bonus) credit i've put on myself which i want will be refunded minus £5 if its over a £5 (eg with £15, i would get £10 back.)
anything under £5 i wouldnt get but no charge is added.

i think this is very reasonable.

I have just received an email from Easymobile to warn of the credit on my daughter's account being low.

Here are yet more hidden charges!!
(found too late after "scouring" through the FAQ's !!)
If you go into a neg balance of more than £10, there is a £5 charge to get your account unblocked!!! (I didn't know that you could go into a negative balance on a pay as you go sim.) To find out your balance you need to "text4Balance" ...the balance you get is not real time, it could be from 24 hrs ago! ...they don't make it Easy!!

    ...I Quote from said email...
"Your account with easyMobile.com has reached a balance of £3.88.
Please note that if your account reaches a negative balance of more than £10 (e.g. - £10.01) or if you have had a negative balance for more than 3 days (72 hours) we will block your account from making further calls or sending Text Messages and £5 will be charged to your account."

If this is the case, then I don't see a problem.

Do other providers allow you to close a pay as you go account and withdraw your credit?
