Okay everyone, 60 day weigh in and altogether I've lost 13lbs! Which over 2 months is probably what I would have lost at weightwatchers and the like, plus I would have been fed up of it by now! Got back on track this last day or two so know I'm going to be able to see this through to the 90 days.
My theory then is just to retick the boxes in my journal rather than have to buy myself another one! I hope this is a bit of a way of life now but I think I still neeed a journal to keep me focused. Also need to try and get back to listening to the CD at least once a week as I've slipped on that lately.
I feel like this suits me so well. I am such a rubbish eater that it is no use telling me to fill up with veg or whatever as I don't like it, so I need to be able to have that option to eat what I want. It may still not be the healthiest of choices ( although I did CHOOSE a banana for my breakfasyt yesterday!:rotfl:) but it's still better than overeating on junk like I was doing) Hope all is going well for everyone, and catch up soon!0 -
Do you guys recommend getting the journal?
Edited to add: Well done Minty on 13lbs!!!!!!!I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I do reccomend the journal. I did do PMK before and lost half a stone, but put it all back on. This way I feel like I have little tergets, not so much the weight but crossing off my little boxes makes me realise how well I've done! I'd only buy iy if I could find it cheap though.....0

Day 11
Good day today. Had a cinnamon bagel for breakfast this morning, which was delicious to eat feeling ‘guilt free’. I then went xmas shopping for the final presents today with my mum and we walked round the shops from 10am to 4pm so lots of exercise. Lunch was buffet at Pizza Hut and I had mainly salad and pasta with just a couple of slices of pizza and I didn’t want a desert. I also didn’t find myself even thinking about food or drinks until 1pm which was amazing as normally I would always be looking for something to eat and drink about mid morning. I had been noticing since I started this that my mid morning ‘munchies’ were more related to my body needing a drink as opposed to food but today I didn’t really need anything. Haven’t fancied anything for tea tonight as I still feel full from lunchtime but I shall see if I need something later this evening.
Listened to the CD last night and filled in my journal before bed. I will need to go to bed early tonight as I am absolutely shattered but I will make an effort to do the journal and listen to at least a short CD tonight before I go to sleep.
Good to hear how everyone else is getting on.
Mintymoneysaver well done on the 13lbs lost you must be noticing a difference with your clothes?
Flossie sounds like you are doing well and good luck for your few days away with work. Keep those CD’s going.
Bitsy – definitely recommend the journal. I find it keeps me focussed to have a checklist of things that I should be doing every day. Amazon and Play both do it quite reasonably, or better still make your own its just tick boxes for the 4 golden rules plus extras like drinking water, moving your body, listening to the CD, and doing the mirror exercise (not done this one myself).0 -
Hi everyone!
Has anyone tried "Slim girls book of secrets"? I heard that it is simillar to Paul McKenna "I can make you slim". It looks nicer and I was thinking to buy it as a gift.
Just wants to make sure its worth buying as it costs almost £80.
Thanks.0 -

Does 19p (plus P&P) count as being cheap enough? :rotfl::T
I've ordered it, it's used but in good condition. Even if I don't "write" in the actual journal I can use it to point my own journal in the right direction.
Nanaw - For £80  I think I'd stick to PMKI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hi all,
Well done Minty on your weight loss! :T
I've been very sketchy in filling in the journal, I'm up to day 27, but have missed out a couple of days. I do think it is a good tool though, and would recommend it.
Maisie, I'm loving your updates, you've inspired me come in and update too.
I'm still having a hard time stopping when I'm full, and waiting to be hungry. I've been having stomach problems and so I couldn't gauge my hunger properly.
One positive thing I have done though, is start exercising everyday. I've got back and neck problems so can't do normal exercise, and hydrotherapy is too expensive. I keep being told to walk, but the actual motion of walking hurts.
I've got a copy of walk away the pounds, an exercise video where you 'walk' on the spot. It's really gentle and quick. The 1 mile walk is about 20 minutes. I'm working myself up to the 1 mile. I've done it everyday for a week so far and am close to doing the whole mile. :jGetting there... A deal at a time. :T0 -
Hi,
The gift set I was talking about "Slim girls book of secrets" was written by Ali Campbell who works with Paul McKenna. I never read Paul McKenna book but I think I would rather to buy Paul McKenna set (book, diary, 4CD) from ebay than spend £80 on Ali Campbell set.
So no one ever tried Ali Campbell method?

How intense are the exercises you have to do? I just had knee operation and at the moment I am not able to exercise at all. I want to loose extra weight I put on after injury. I wont be able to exercise for the next 4-5months. Do you think that the rules made by Paul will help me?0
