Hi everyone, how are you doing? Minty and SilverSapphire - well done on your loss! And hello Guapa! I do the same thing as you with the journal - I'm using pencil so I can reuse it :money:.
Well I've not reported back for a while. I've been doing the journal for over a month now and have lost a significant bit of weight, in fact I'm selling some of my old clothes as they are hanging off me! I only weighed myself on day 1 and will not do so again until day 90. But I reckon I've lost over half a stone so far.
I've not stuck to the rules rigidly but have tried to follow all the daily steps like drinking water, listening to the CD etc. as best I can and it works! :jI'm due to finish just before Christmas, so will hopefully be able to stock up on some slinky new items in the sales.
How is everyone else?0 -
Hi Snow White, not doing too badly here. On about day 41 so due a weigh in in a few days, I think I may have lost a lb or two but not too much. I've had a few days where it's just been impossible but I have tried my best. It's true though, it's definitely got to be a way of life, I can see how easy it would be to slip back into old habits. Will let you know how I get on and well done on your slimline shape!0

Glad it's still working for you too. It is really to slip off the wagon, isn't it? I left it for a whole week when I was ill, but then just picked up where I'd left off. Luckily the programme allows for failure every now and again. But as PMK says - press on!0

Well done Snow White and Mintymoneysaver!
Definitely easy to slip - I put on ½lb this week. Never mind I guess that is my wake up call to get back on track and put a bit more effort in."Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence": Desiderata0 -
Its nearly two weeks since I started my sponsored slim. I get weighed on \Monday as we decide to do it once a fortnight. I have defo lost weight. I got a wii and have been doing that plus using Pauls dont eat till hungry technique. I think Ive lost about 3lb.0

Hi
I have had a horrendous year health wise this year and need to focus on something new. I have tried every 'diet' in the book including Rosemary Conley, Slimming World, Weight Watchers, Slimming Club etc. some I had good success with but after reaching my target I got complacent and put all the weight back on and more (I know a familiar story to many of you).
I have been reading all the different slimming threads on this forum and thought the ICMYT sounded like the one for me. I have a 5 year old son and really can't be bothered/don't have the time for loads of weighing, measuring or calorie/point counting. I also want my DS to know that no foods are banned or bad and that its all about listening to your body. He is really good at that and is a perfect size as he realises when he is full and stops, how wrong is it to be jealous that a 5 year old has a better relationship with food than his mother
I have the PM CD's and have just downloaded one on to my MP3 player to play later this evening when DS is in bed. I will order the book/journal and start using them when they arrive.
I was really inspired by the posts on this thread and hope everyone else is managing fine. I am going to weigh myself tomorrow morning and then get my partner to put the scales up in the attic for two weeks. I am determined to only weigh myself every 14 days as I am a total scale hopper.
Sorry this turned out to be a bit of a ramble. I am hoping to update everyday as it will keep me on the straight and narrow - hope it doesn't bore you all.0 -
Well done boddy!
Welcome Maisie M:hello:. I can't recommend the journal enough.0 -
Day 1
Well as it says on the packet Day 1 today. I listened to the CD last night and it was strange as I didn't feel as though I went into a 'trance' but I definately felt different.
I have eaten a lot of leftovers that were in the fridge/cupboards from the weekend but I would say whilst I haven't eaten all that healthily I think I have eaten less in quantity.
So plan for this evening - keep trying to listen to my body and also drink plenty of water (haven't been too good at that today).
Oh weighed myself this morning and I was 15 stone 13.5lbs a bit much for my 5ft 5inch height and have just calculated my BMI as 37 :eek:0 -
Hello all, and welcome Maisie! You're a very similar weight to me when I started. I was 15.10 and am the same height as you. 45 days in I have weighed myself today and am now 14.13 so a total loss of 11lbs! I'm really pleased to be in that next stone down and really pleased I've made it halfway through! I love the comment for today in the journal...
" I,.................., commit to finishing this b****y journal and proving to myself that I can do it!"
11lbs may not be a huge achievement compared to some diets but I've been able to achieve it without feeling like I've deprived myself of anything. My resolve is now to try and drink more water and do a bit more exercise, and then see where I am 45 days from now....0
