phewww, i did it!
well, hhc wasn't 10-10.30 but 10.15-12.15 :T
and i stripped our bed and it's in the w/m right now, another load is in the t/d - then i attacked the bathroom inclusive the huge storage (the big watercanister was in there for the old heating - but lately all the things you buy and buy for a bathroom - just kind of thrown in)
so i got a big black bag of rubbish out of it, some things for a friends baby, and lots of paint which are leftovers from when we decorated the kids rooms 4 yrs ago
AND i scrubbed the floor on all 4s
during all that i asked OH (who is playing xbox ever since) to make lunch for the kids - just sandwiches - and he pulled a face :wall: - AND he didn't make them any drinks either .....
well, i am having 10min with a drink and then i need to go shopping.
and THEN i'll have a nice bath
dustykitten you have a friend who asks to have your kids?!?! - i want friends like that ...!!!

carlsberggal welcome :hello: - and no, none of us is useless; we just have stronger days and days when we need to recharge!!
at least you've got your lists started that's a beginning - and a bad nights sleep is always an excuse for forgetting things!
oh, and you must be so excited getting married in 2 weeks. everything under control there? everything sorted? booked? arranged?? - and with him
doing lots of cleaning, i'd marry him too
zls giving up chocolate?!?!? :eek:0 -

Thanks mOZzy. Am very giddy, which is why I can't concentrate for long on anything, either that or my age! Didn't think I'd find a gorgeous man like him, to be fair wasn't looking as had been married for 22 years and when that ended decided didn't want/need a man ever again! He's very good around the house, makes lots of the teas and even went outside this morning in his dressing gown and defrosted my car when I was getting ready for work- bless him I never even hinted! Wedding is done apart from putting music onto a cd for the hotel to use during the wedding ceremony, only having closest family and my best friend, they are then having a few drinks with us after and leaving us to it. Didn't want a big 'do', but want DS to be my witness, DD1 and DD2 bit put out at first. But he's going to Afghanistan (army poiceman) in March and am so very very scared. Will be his first ever posting as well the B"&##%ds- being in traing for 10 months to become 1 and only finished and got his red cap and warrant card yesterdayTo love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0

:A ****good luck vibes for Johanne's OH on Monday****:A0

Unfortunately DD doesn't have many friends and this girl lives close by so they can walk to school etc.together. She's quite an odd thing and doesn't ever talk to me much. Her family are in some sort of evangelical church (neither parent works, father is carer for disabled son who has a terminal illness and is wheelchair bound) which they are heavily involved in and they are 'different' IYSWIM...so I will persist with her. Her dad chats - mum doesn't
. So I have asked DD if she thanks when she goes there ...
She (the friend) does say thanks now when I give the girls a lift partway to school (because it's on my way - DD and DS walk when I am not at work.) I will regard her as a 'work in progress'.
They gor a Wii for xmas in that family. Between the kids. That was it. Oh DDs friend gor £5 from 1 aunt and £10 from another. Maybe that's why my DD appreciates what she gets, having a friend from a 'poor' family (compared with us...I am just above free schoolmeals income:rotfl: )valli - well done for keeping trying with the girl. those v strict churches can have a strange effect on people.Unfortunately vulnerable people are often drawn towards them (spoken as someone with a lot of positive church experience)Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Thanks SSL... Salt down plug hole... I'll let you know how it goes!
Shopping done (veg from farm shop; chicken from butcher; bread, milk & yogurt from village shop), soup defrosting for lunch as my friend will be here in about half an hour. So will catch up on the thread and keep going with the little jobs.
embb - sorry to hear about your DS and his job. Fingers crossed that something else comes up.
johanne - positive vibes for OH's interview

I'm being good today as I admit I overdid it yesterday!!! DH is driving to town rather than taking the bus as it's a bit of a walk to the bus stop. We're going to pizza express (with vouchers) and then to spend book vouchers! Hugs to everyone xx0
