Have had a good sort out of the wardrobe. So thats a bag ready to go to the charity shop.

Have been rooting through mums paper work as I needed some info for her insurance company. On the form they want to know where she lived in 1970. I narrowed it down to 2 placed both of which were pulled down years ago. She was a bit of a wanderer. Found her marriage certifacate and as luck has it the two addresses are on there. Just need her birth certificate now.

Going to have a cuppa now help yourselves.:coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee:

Johanne good luck vibes for OH on Monday

    Calsberggal Welcome.

Greenbee Hope you have managed to sort the frozen pipe.

Ssl Thanks. They are bluebells which I love. Reminds me of being a child and walking through the Bluebell Woods.

  • Good luck with the car cleaning, must be one of the worst jobs especially on a freezing day like today. I'm making a list this afternoon of things I;m definately going to do tomorrow, goes like this:

    1. Strip bed as soon as we get up and put in washer
    2. Dust bedroom and hoover as it's 2 weeks now since it's last done
    3. Get to supermarket for when it opens
    4. Get veg done for tea after putting shopping away instead waiting till last minute
    5. Make up bed
    6. Try to get 19 year old DD1 to get up out of her pit before it's tea time!

Not bad for a start, what do you all think?

valli - well done for keeping trying with the girl. those v strict churches can have a strange effect on people.Unfortunately vulnerable people are often drawn towards them (spoken as someone with a lot of positive church experience)

zls - the sore hands is what puts me off stardrops, though I do use it. I tend to only use in a spray bottle with a cloth now, though DH uses in water on the floors.

rosepink - good on you, you've done loads so far. Just try a small bit every day so that you can achieve it. you really will notice the difference but it doesn't happen overnight.

liberty9515 hope the kitch thing goes well, use it as an opportunity to fling anything surplus!

mudbath - take it easy girl, it's better in the long run! It probably feels longer than it is because of the hols in the way

  • Boddy thanks for the welcome. What a good idea to sort out wardrobe, I've put on a stone so loads of clothes don't fit and if they do I think 'what on earth possessed you to buy that?!' Doubt I'll ever lose the weight, though am quite happy apart from tummy, but hey ho in my 40's and had three kids. Partner loves me warts and all and have only put on the weight cos I'm settled and happy. Good luck boddy with searching for birth certificate. If you know where she was born you could contact registry office and get another

  • Engineer has been and gone. Comet are sh*te I hate them so very very much.

The washing machine is duff, so now we have to go to the store to arrange a new one to be delivered.
Why can't we do this over the phone like we were told.... ?
Why haven't the store phoned me back like they were supposed to ? and
Why haven't customer services phoned me back to check that the store had phoned me back like they were supposed to?

 honestly... you wouldn't think it was actually their fault would you???? grrrrr

Afraid this week I haven't been able to follow pigpen's lists so am going to try again on Monday .
For now I'm going to write my own,
Today and tomorrow's list [am going to take it slowly as I have quite a lot of chest pain at the moment - have a bad cold and am coughing quite a lot so I think I have strained a muscle]

    Finish washing up
    Dry up and put away
One load of washing in machine
    Tumble bits on the airer
    Straighten livingroom
    Straighten study
    Vacuum downstairs
    Wash bedding
    Put clean bedding on bed
    Clean ensuite
    Vaccum upstairs
    Dust downstairs
    Dust upstairs
Watch DVD of how to put up our new awning
    Another load of washing
    Tumble lots of the washing

There's more but I'll see what I can get done first
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Carlsberggal. Its not a big problem as I can get a copy of her birth certificate at a nearby town.

Like most women I think, I have big clothes and smaller clothes in the wardrobe lol. Mind I have been ruthless with stuff I know I wont wear again.
