Hello everyone
Giving myself a bit of a break this weekend from house stuff....am up to my eyes in OU work so the house will be taking a back seat. My kitchen still looks pretty good after my blitz the other day. Went out in a rush early this morning, bleary eyed, so I left a bit of a mess. Will give it a quick tidy when I've finished writing this. I left the bathroom looking like a bomb had hit it, so need to just stick everything in the cupboards out of the way.
Things to do this weekend
1) Make some soup from veggies in fridge
2) Get up to date on study
3) Keep on top of kitchen. Keep it tidy and keep it clean
4) Tidy bathroom.
5) Go for a walk (tomorrow)
6) Do 15 mins filing.
Will check back in tomorrow evening when I've done all these things <cough>

carlsberggal :hello:
Hi and welcome to the thread. Like your list but not sure that you'll get much joy with No.6:rotfl::rotfl:
I just wanted to say to you that I can understand how you feel about DH going to Afghanistan in March. My brother has been out there since October last year. He emails and writes as often as he can. I've had 2 or 3 telephone calls as well, last one was on Christmas day.
Make sure DH takes some warm socks and vests when he goes. Apparently it is freezing cold over there at night, for which my brother was not prepared. So we had to send over some emergency thermals and a balaclava. And stamps (for letters) are in short supply for some reason.
Anyway, good luck with your flying this afternoon.

zls giving up chocolate?!?!?
I am insane lol, although I have just eaten some nice jaffa cakes lol till my dad took them off me.
Just had a mighty shock in town so still calming down from that still want to cry. My little girl has what we call her do's its where she goes really quite and unresponsive and some times changes colour.
On the bus into town she fell asleep, she has this balaclava type hat and she had pulled the mouth bit over her mouth nose and eyes. I managed to get her off the bus and was going to carry her to the bus home bust woke up so decided to take her roound town. I told her that we were not going to mcdonalds just going to 1 shop then going home. She started arguing with me and seemed really confused so I put her on my back and carryed her. When we got to the shop I put her on the floor and she lost her balance and nearly went head first into the shop window. She had turned a very weird yellow colour and was not with it.
Any ways we are home now and its like nothing happened she is up stairs bouncing on the bed and making a lot of noise. She has not had one this bad for a long time and its scared me half to death, I am wondering whether she cut off oxygen by accident, she had that mask covering both the mouth and nose when its only meant to cover the mouth and she was leant on the bar.
Never mind, sorry for long post. Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0 -
Right I am going to retire to the peace and tranquility of my bedroom for a while. DH is watching football :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::mad: Argh it drives me flippin mad. To much unnecessary noise. DD and DS are mucking around with a balloon making some additional unnecessary noise......so I am vacating the area for a while in search of my Sue Grafton book. I'm reading A is for Alibi. Love a bit of crime solving I do.
Catch you all later.0 -

Thanks Flower! She has epilepsy which has got worse over the last year and this is the 4th time she has been rushed to hospital since August. She was vomiting for half an hour before she left school yesterday and still vomiting at the hospital and they were trying to control it. She wasn't very responsive and had lost her spark and bounce (she is VERY lively!!), and the vomiting is usually a warning of a major fit and status epileptus (sp!) She is an unusual case due to her other special needs, so it is a big worry. Last time, we were getting updates at school but I won't find out any more til Monday now ......."There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Hello to ThereCanBeOnlyOne, CrazyLady2009 and Carlsberggal - we are delighted that you want to join us and we hope you find the thread helps you with your housewrk.Good luck and enjoy your flying!!!!WELCOME TO THE WEEKLY FLYLADY(AND GENTS) THREAD
A new thread is starts on a Sunday evening via a link from the current thread so keep a watch out and dive in!
Make sure you read the first post carefully as it contains all the info and abbreviations that we use!
A new list is added to the 1st post every evening by pigpen our illustrious leader and by the weekend you will have been round the whole house.
Dont get stressed with the mess just try to do the list to whatever level you can manage depending on your home circumstances - work, children OH's!!!!
Even if you only manage level 1 everyday when you come back to that room next week you will find it is easier and as time goes on it becomes more manageable and you will see huge differences - I know it sounds impossible but I can vouch for the fact it works!!!
Remember your home didnt get in a mess overnight so dont expect it to get tidy in a day!! Dont try to do the whole house at once - you will tire yourself out and sicken yourself - we have all tried it!! BABYSTEPS - little and often and you will be amazed at the improvement.
POst what you have done and forget about what you missed - there is no such thing as failure on here!!!
Dont worry if you cant keep up with the thread it moves very fast just now - just pop in and post and let everybody know how you are doing!
The support, encouragement and friendship on here is simply THE BEST! ask any questions and we will give you our tuppence worth - sometimes sensible sometimes totally insane!
We dont bite - well most of us dont -have fun!!
WELCOME to the totally bonkers mad house!!!!
toots xx:DPeace will be mine
