I tried but i am so tired eyes wont stay open, g'night all.....
thoughts for the little girl in froddingtons class0 -
Oh dear lord is there really that many pages on this thread?! Well on the SAHM I was going to read all 10 but don't think I'll manage over a 100... not if I actually wanna do anything!
Anyway, I will sort my house this year, or rather my routines (my house is ok but only cos i do it all in one go on my days off)...
Happy 2009 everyone!0 -
Right I am bushed and going to bed now. Went to bed early last night and couldn't sleep as stuff was milling round in my mind so I ended up reading until 12.30
Now I feel tired and will prob end up reading about 2 lines before the book drops onto the floordrobe!!!! Will catch up some more tomorrow.
Night all, hugs all round xxOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
I've just about caught up with you all but haven't managed to reply to everything. It looks as if there has been some flying done between the philosophical discussions... pity flyladies aren't running the world!
Funeral went OK. My brother picked me up and we drove down last night, stayed with my parents, went for a walk, went to B&Q so my brother could pick up some bits for his kitchen, went to the crematorium, went the church, went to the reception, was dropped back at home...
It appears that my trees have been chopped down, but the logs/bark chippings aren't in the drive where I asked them to leave them, but its too dark to check. If they've left them anywhere inconvenient, they'll be moving them if they want to be paid
My brother has asked me to do a reading at his wedding, which is lovely. I'll have to practice my public speaking
I've got a friend coming over tomorrow to stay for the weekend (she's abandoning her OH and DD for a couple of days), but also read my emails on the way home, and have to get the revisions to my funding request in to my director for Sunday as a couple of things have happened rather earlier than anticipated. However, with my talent for red tape, I should be able to delay them
Now my birthday and the funeral are out of the way, I'm trying to plan my new year, so I thought I'd let you know what needs doing in the next few weeks:
Finish sorting out the study and utility room
Buy extra bits for utility room (IKEA for units, B&Q for rest)
Get the builder back to finish the utility room
Get brother's fiancee's friend round to have a look at the garden (she's a landscape gardener who is having a quiet period at the moment, and my garden needs doing, so I thought I should give her a bit of business)
Start going to bed earlier so I can...
Start getting up at a sensible time and ....
Do morning yoga and eventually ....
Go swimming a couple of times a week, and maybe also ...
Go to they gym a couple of times a week and then even ...
Start going to Yoga and Pilates classes regularly again.
I have also found out that there is a singing teacher in the village, so will be getting in touch to set up some classes. And I'd like to start dance classes too, I'm just trying to work out what kind (probably the kind that are in the right location at the right time :rotfl: )
I'm also thinking about starting to go to church in the village occasionally, but the service I like (Book of Common Prayer) is at 8am on alternate Sundays. Stilll, I suppose it is only once a fortnight... and if I was up and out at 8am, think how much I'd get done... in fact, I could then go to Yoga and Pilates afterwards
However, I KNOW that I need to get the house sorted in order for all the other things to happen. I'm so close - just the spare room, kitchen table (oops, persistent hotspot  ) and utility room to sort out and then I'll have the space to do the yoga and will (hopefully) be organised enough to do the rest!
On that note, as it's nearly midnight, I'd better start getting ready for bed!
Hugs & positive vibes to all!0 -

Glad the funeral went ok and wasnt too much of an ordeal!
that will be lovely to be a part of your brother's big day.
An interesting list you have made - I will expect to see it added to your weekly list so we can keep an eye on your progress!!! Singing dancing and religion ......hmmmm!
will have to give this some thought - there must be something logical inthere somewhere to go along with all the exercise .....could this be someone else like Valli who has found a man and not told us........should we be saving for 2 outfits this year????:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
