    I'm so happy, cos my DS is back home safe and sound, for another year!
    His trip went really well this year (his dad has recently come out of grouchland!). He had fun, so that's really nice!:j

    DS is raring to fly, I'll have to introduce him tomorrow.....

    Although emotional, very uplifting too... I was reading Dawn French's book last night and again, very emotional, I was actually sobbing uncontrolably because of it, just the way she words the letters to her dad - a lot of what she put was so similar to what I went through with my own dad so I know exactly how you feel about that thread... think that is why I was so drained today - got rid of a lot of pent up emotions last night - always good for the soul eh if not for the eyes...! :o

    that's what I thought too, well not quite. I thought I am not going to learn to do this on my own and not pass the skills on! Also he will be happy he can do it forever too, and that he doesn't have to learn age 34!! It can be part of his home schooling, in the life-skills section, which includes cooking, growing veg,budgetting etc:D

    I cannot sleep again - went to bed about 10.30pm, read some of my book, fell asleep for about 1 hour and then wide awake again - got up about 1.30am coz sick of just lying there... have caught up on here as thought reading might send me to sleep, obviously not!!!:mad:

    So, am now in the kitchen and about to do an inventory of my cupboards, as really need to go shopping tomorrow and do my meal plans too... (determined to do them this week)...

    My list for the weekend looks like this, coz I have done nothing today - pigpen, you are psychic as DS is doing both our cars tomorrow (insides at least, won't make him freeze washing them, although it is tempting and we could laugh at him through the front room window... evil mum me! :rotfl: )

    Wishy-Washy Wednesday – Living Room/Hallway
    Level Two
    Vacuum up the stairs…
    Sort through coats and shoes and bag
    Level Three
    Extras
    Clean out your handbag! And/or college/work bag
    Thursday - Master Bedsty & landing
    Level Two
    15 minutes filing
    Extras
    Wipe all the upstairs doors... both sides!!
    Straighten the linen cupboard
    Friday - Spare rooms and kiddies rooms
    Level One
    Strip the bedsheets and wash them!
    15 minutes floordrobe clearance
    Level Two
    Vacuum the floor you can see
    Fill a binbag with stuff you no longer need and get rid!
    HHI... catch up!!
    Level Three
    Wash any curtains/blinds that are in need
    Drag all the tat from under the bed and put it in its rightful places
    Straighten books shelves/games etc
    Extras
    Wash dirty windows
    Dust away all the cobwebs and dust
    Wipe the paintwork and grubby sticky hand prints
    Dust shelves and light fittings etc
    Weekend List ...
    So all the family can join in!!
    Wash and iron uniforms ready for Monday... do the lunch boxes & shoes too!!

    Clean out the car... job for lovely teenagers... and unlovely ones too!
    Clean the porch
    Wash any bedding that has been neglected this week!
    Wash any windows that are in need
    Clean any litter trays and pet beds
    Bake a cake... or some bickies...
    Fill a binbag with rubbish... *fling*
    Fill a binbag for charity/freecycle/tip
    My M.A.C.A.W challenge this week is..............to keep on top of my washing/ironing..... There Valli, I'm going to do it!

    Write a letter to insurance company to explain details fully
    Take up new curtains in Kitchen
    Finish last bit of payment plan
    Sort out Pet Insurance
    Do a 'stock take' of what food we have in and write a shopping list from that Doing now, how sad am I...
    Meal Plan with above
    Sort out paperwork that needs to be dealt with
    File all my paperwork away (private and business)
    Go to Mums and upload office on her new computer and transfer all her old stuff to new computer too.
    Start loading all DVD's/Videos ready onto EBay for when they have a 1p day again and pack them away in a box once done
    Business Stuff
    Enter all invoices for my business
