:rotfl: I must have a dirty mind too then:j "I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." — Marilyn Monroe :j0 -
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIBERTY9515
gryfon, this is my lounge, after I spent half of yesterday, and half of today on

Blimey, I've only been away a few hours and there was LOADS to catch up with...
Haven't done so well today, just managed dailies (said novelty would wear off!). Am having an 'energy low' day today, slept all afternoon, and just had a shower (but still in nightie!). Doubt I'll be doing any more flying today, more like floating!
Hugs to whoever need them...

Flylady - I think it's just about balance really isn't it. I'm only as extreme as I am with the SD's because I know that it's the complete opposite when they're at home. And I suppose realistically I'm not that extreme (I hope!) but they're here for such a short time, that I'd like me and OH to have some positive influence on them and prove that it doesn't just have to be one way.
I agree that kids have too much nowadays....if we wanted something when we were kids we either had to wait or save up for it ourselves. And that didn't apply to a lot of electronic stuff. I'm only 27 and the first mobile phone I got was when I passed my driving test when I was 17 because we live in the middle of nowhere. We didn't have a lot of things that we didn't need and I don't think I missed out because of it. If anything it made me think about it a bit more. I could really want something so much it made me cry if I didn't get it, but then 5 minutes later I'd have forgotten about it and got on with something else. Think of the money that would have been wasted if my parents had given in to my every whim! I'd have way more stuff to chuck out now!
DOn't worry about ranting and in summary (in case I've waffled too much!) I agree with you!Jonathan Douglas born 20th January 2009 - 9lb 4oz

I have to say IF you watch stuff with kids - and talk to them - and make sure they know what is real and what is fantasy fine...it's these saddos who don't involve themselves in their kids lives that IMHO end up with problems. DD has had the Friends DVDs for xmas and some of those are categorised at 15...I know a lot of stuff goes over her head - like when forums won't let her use certain words...but when she asks a straight question she gets a straight answer. I am not THAT naive though - and put exOH right when he told me he though DS would be 'just friends' with his GF - and there would be no physical stuff at all.
If I knew what 1st base etc was I would know what to tell him - but I have never understood that :rotfl:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
